Very nice, KawiBoy1428.
How did you color it black?

Do tell.

Looks like 2 GITD o-rings in the tailcap groove.

What did you do behind the tir?

I don’t think it is painted.

This is the standard color appearing very dark grey under low lights conditions.

Got my FW3A and Amutorch AT40 (4x Nichia 219C) from Neal today.

Oh, I’m starting to love these small, multi-emitter 1×18650 EDCeable lights!

I busted my better camera and my current phone camera can’t show the real tint, so no whitewall shots at the moment to show what both lights can do.

Initial impressions on the FW3A is quite exceptional…the Carclo optics is so smooth, combined with the tint of the OEM leds.

Size comparisons between two multi-emitter lights:

Yes, they were all sent.

Let me ask this a different way. I signed up and did not receive a code. Is there something I am overlooking?

Got the lights on Wednesday. I’ve had it in my pocket the last days and been working fine till last night the mode change. When clicked on and click and hold down the brightness only goes up a bit and then shuts off. Remove the head to try and see if it will go back to default and did not work. I was reading the UI and messing with it and somehow it started working back to default mode. Put it in my pocket and ate dinner and then back to same issue.

I don’t intend to keep the stock LEDs, but I did order both 3D and 7A so I could measure the colour and output for BLF. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a 7A without an indefinite wait, so I switched my order to just 3D. Very frustrating seeing a bunch of orders placed days after mine shipping first.

In order to keep the right sequence of interested clients across multiple platforms, potentially unique discount codes, a capped number of sold items or even have the codes and messages match the number of reservations… – would really go beyond anything this team could have done.

However I do believe that a system like that would have a good reason to exist. I use multiple forums were people “sign up” for interested products, services, or “maker” projects; some even with a down payment and there is always a lot of discussion about the sequence, amount ordered and a more fair process.

The complexity of such a secure, reliable and global solution would be that of a “mini ebay with paypal integration”. Maybe a group of nifty SW devs are working on such a solution?

A couple others a few pages back found they had PMs turned off. Could be what happened to you.

Don’t forget to hit SAVE afterwards.

Then you should contact the team from this thread with a PM.

Do you have information that the wait for 7A is longer than early next week?

Like you, I don’t plan to keep the original emitters so I just picked a tint arbitrarily. I’m not pleased that I picked the wrong one for getting my light shipped quickly, but I don’t want to bother asking to change it if that won’t get my light in the mail sooner.

This is probably just a case of missed communication. Probably just needs a code for purchase considering the message was stated.

Add me in for one. Yes, it’ll be heavy. I just love copper lights. Not a daily driver, but definitely an occasional use toy.

It looks like you were never on the list. It wasn’t clear that your first post was a signup request.

Anyway, a PM has now been sent.

A while back, I did a quick estimate of the work involved in making something like that, and decided it’s too big a project to attempt any time soon. Also, it’d probably require getting our admin to make BLF function as an identity provider, which requires server changes and SSL, which invokes other complications. The end result would be something similar to a lightweight clone of Kickstarter.

From what I gather we won’t even know the wait time until May 8.

Any beam shots of the new emitters?

Does anyone know the output bins of the current emitters?

Got Mine last night. First impressions:
It’s a Little Screamer, alright.
The wide optic is better than I expected.
The clip ring is a few thousandths too wide.
Aww man, that switch just falls apart when the tailcap is off. I can see why they wanted to glue it.

Woke up to this one day…

Not really, higher current, more heat, less output, same CRI.

Don’t loose that little black pellet. It’s tiny and I’m sure would be super hard to find if dropped.
