I was NOT able to determine this by the information provided, maybe I missed something?
Can this charger display information for ALL FOUR SLOTS at the same time like my Opus? I can deal [be more patient] w/ only 500mAh discharge,I can not deal w/ info for 1 or 2 slots at a time AND 500mAh discharge! I hope I can see all 4 slots at once , then I will get it
I only have 8 X 4 bay chargers!……….Depending on the answer above. I may justify this for a Birthday present on Tuesday June 4th.
The XTAR dragon can only do Two at a time, major reason why I did not get it.
One of my gripes with Lii-500 was too closely spaced out slots. From the pictures, it looks like this Lii-500S seems to have a bit more room, so that’s a welcome change.
I’m guessing the current display is just the selected current and not actual current, just like the old model?
Anyway, I mainly use my Lii-500 for discharge capacity tests, and this Lii-500S does not offer any improvements there, so I’ll skip it. I do like the new display though.
I have no interest in pressing buttons to see Individual read outs plus the 500mAh MAX discharge. $15 more for another Opus from my hometown dealer is well worth it to me! As usual it is ALL about “Individual” preference.
FINAL POST on this thread! Several “may” be happy!
I know the Opus cost more which usually correlates to more features.
I DOCUMENT my capacity results for future use/tests, both on Microsoft word[written] and photos for Comparison and degradation analysis!
I could NOT do what the picture below illustrates w/ the Liitokala lii- 500S, XTAR Dragon and many others, That is,seeing information at the SAME time for ALL four slots.
I use the 300mA setting for very old NiMH AA cells. Anything faster than that, and their high internal resistance causes the charge to terminate early.
I also use it for AAA NiMH cells (though 500mA would probably do fine), and for 14500 lithum-ion (though again, 500mA is probably fine).
It’s too bad they dropped the 300mA charge setting. I like the 2000mA addition, but I’d rather have 300mA for my low-capacity cells.
I lied. ,about last post. Had to comment on the video!
Staring at 3:59 mark She could NOT get the 26650 Liitokala to make contact w/ positive tab in slot 2. So she used a rubber band which did not work either! lol!
That has happened to me[no contact on positive end] w/ a few of my 26650 on certain chargers,Neodymium magnets solve that problem.
I should NOT have said last post!!! My bad,Forgive me,It is my 59th Birthday[Last year in my 50’s! ]today,a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky and was 47F when I got up,going up to 70F :+1:
Freedom of choice is Great isn’t it? The price is right for the Liitokala,WHY one would prefer to press ALL those buttons for info is beyond me,I guess they have more time than me and are not interested in documenting the results in a simple manner[One Photo]
I GREATLY prefer looking at ALL the info at once which I already explained in post # 24! Also it charges EVERY battery[except very old ones] to 4.20V and is relatively accurate in comparison to HKJ’s results, average about 3% higher.
I TOTALLY prefer the Opus for reasons stated and many more!!! lol!
