this is my first post and am not sure where to post so I’ll start here. I am trying to control 2 zones of LED strips that will have 2 separate power supplies. I am unable to hard wire them together, but I would like for them to function as one. In each zone there is white and blue and I would like to be able to control each color separately and have dimming function. I have a generic Chinese led controller with wifi dongle and it works, but only for 1 strip on 1 zone. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thank you
Kyle
I ’m also interested about solutions to manage several RGB led strips in sync.
So far i installed one under a sofa and would like to have a second one under another piece of furniture. Same situation with two power supplies and two RGB drivers, each with a remote. Even though i choose RF drivers, sometime one remote will affect both strips, sometime not and they get out of sync - different colors…
I guess the only reliable way is to have a single driver and both strips connected, which implies to run wires from one to the other, which is often unpractical.
…well, that’s what a “RGB controller” is. As cheap as a few dollars with a remote, IR, RF or even Wifi. The problem is keeping two of them (or more) in sync.
Consider hiring an electrician. And make sure any cheap Chinese power supply is mounted inside a fireproof electrical box, not just tucked up into the attic insulation out of sight.
