You might want to read the interface section of this review for details on how the UI works.
Or perhaps click the Link in my signature for information about making and flashing firmware, if you want more extensive customizations. That’s an option too.
Man I keep telling myself I dont need one of these after acquiring two D4s with Anduril in the last month, but between the new aux lights and the other ergonomic enhancements im having a hard time holding that feeling off.
If you want the light to default to a specific brightness with 1 click from off, it can do that.
If you want it to also have a shortcut to moon or some other low level with a hold from off, it can do that.
It also has a shortcut to a user-configured high level, using 2 clicks from off.
… and a bunch of other stuff. There are a lot of modes and options, and the question above makes it sound like you’re unfamiliar with it… so I recommend looking at the online manual to learn more.
Brands like Emisar restore my faith in Chinese products. He has made everything better without cutting any corners. And for a very reasonable price considering all the improvements.
I will buy one for sure, although probably closer to xmas.
Came across a white wall comparison between the 10621, 10622 & 10623 quad optics over on reddit which I found pretty useful (only the wide 10624 is missing).
Does anybody know of any outdoor beamshot comparison between these quad optics? I am mainly interested in 10621 vs. 10622.
Hello TK, thanks for another detailed review. If possible, could you please verify if the new stainless bezel fits on the green D4 first version? I have a green one from the first run that has damage on the bezel. Thanks
I'm actually right there with you. I even have this issue to some extent with the FW3A. During the day I've mostly been carrying my D25C this past month. I can quick-tap the tail switch without looking and always know exactly how much light I'm getting. My second-most carried is my SC62, which has never turned on in my pocket either, and I can also shortcut to any mode quickly and blind.
This... also kind of looks like a pain in the butt to mod. If I wanted to swap the LEDs, I'd have to disconnect that crazy aux board to get to it. But at the same time, the aux board and stainless bezel are like 90% of the reason I'd want one at this point. I wonder if the driver + aux board + stainless bezel can swap into an older D4 host, because I'm not thrilled with the color options offered either.
I too will await future revisions. I'm pretty close to modding the metal ring around the switch on my old D4 to prevent pocket-burn, and then it would be nearly perfect.
