Side question for those who know: if you do paypal and if the seller's account is drained by the time you want a refund, are you better protected if you've funded the purchase directly from your credit card to paypal?
Paypal gets me my money usually within about 3-5 days after I file a dispute and then I esculate immediately to a claim. I always call them as well during this process. That let's them typically know that I'm for real. I take the action to them by letting them know they are speaking to me for real.
For what it's worth my experience is they can only get your money back via their account- no money in their account, no money to you.
By the way I acutally have one of these Yezl 50W lights- pretty good lights all round. I got mine from CN goods when they first came out on a special for CPF members- $107. I find it hard to believe these would be going out at these prices for what is a reliable HID. Very suspect indeed......
I got screwed by Paypal on a dispute I won also it was only for $5 bucks. That being said I couldn't resist and just bid on one of these I will use my credit card just in case.
Dont count on getting any refund from paypal, I purchased large a capacity thumb drive for a price that was too good to be true, it turned out to be a dud.
I raised a dispute eBay settled in my favor, the seller then disputed and supplied PayPal with phony shipping documents the claim was reversed, I then proved the documents were false PP fipped again, by this stage the seller and my money were long gone.
hrm, I just found one and the same seller wants 76 dollars for shipping. Also, selling the light for quite a lot. Did you get the light for 55 dollars? How much is shipping?? I want one.
Well I just sent this to the seller through ebay. This will at least let ebay see it if need be.
Dear kongqun67,
Don't forget to send me a tracking number. I have already had some reports from guys on a flashlight forum doubting this deal being legit. I hope like hell your not a scammer. Paypal will protect me though if you are.
Well if the shoe fits wear it. That's all I was stating. A good honest seller will have nothing to worry about. But then again a good honest seller will build his/her feedback rating based on multiple transactions from several buyers over time.
I just got off the phone talking to 2 paypal agents. They both told me that I am 100% covered. And since the seller stated a tracking # they give him 7 days to show one. If not, I will be getting money back very soon. If I don't get what I ordered or if flashlight doesn't work, I'm covered and will have money in no more than 10 days typically after receiving package.
