2000k flashlight

i’m assuming that’s an E21A in 2000K. looks like it to me. what flashlight and mcpcb is that?

I did not know that I posted a quiz

The light is a Klarus Mi1C in copper, the led an E21A 2000K R9050, bought from Clemence. But it behaves like a R9080.

People are on about “look at how candle-like this 3000K XP-L HI is” with their Anduril lights, but the Copper FW3A, Anduril Candle Mode, and finally candle colored 2000K LEDs…yes the actual copper candle. :sunglasses: Not to bash on Djozz

Samsung offers LM302Z+ mid power LED with CCT down to 1800K. CRI80 only.
Not that it’s some great option but that’s an option. Clemence sells compatible MCPCBs.

Another 2000K option:
Nichia NF2W757GT-V3F1 is another 2000K CRI80.

Just discovered on AE this

Ok, it looks like cheap chinese no-name LED. But what do you guys think? Does it deserve an attention?

I stumbled upon 1800K Luxeon Z ES:

Note that according to Lumileds datasheet such warm CCT is not available. So it may be a fake LED - but possibly still not a bad one. Especially considering that there’s little competition in that warm end of the high-power LED market.

It’s a good sign if people ask quality very warmer lights.
because market lacks, untill there is low demand.
But it’s important not going on Infrared ahah

Not sure why you’d want a light throwing 2000k…
But have you considered filters?

I would never get any leds under 2700k that are not hi cri and does not have a high R9 value. At this level of warmness, color rendering will look like amber light or high pressure sodium light. You can’t really make out the colors. With an ultra high CRI LED like the E21A 2000k, I can still clearly make out all the colors. In fact, when my eyes are adapted to the color temp, everything just looks real good with the E21A and I don’t even notice the yellowness anymore.

Yes, dedomimg SST20 will make it warmer. Somebody did this with SST20 4000k

I have a Jetue21a I had custom made from Clemence.
I don’t think he’s selling those anymore, but there’s a groupbuy on custom Skilhunt H04 RC headlamps, and you can order it with 2000K e21a in high CRI.

Not exactly 2000K but Luxeon CZ White is available in 2200K CRI80. At least on paper, I don’t see any source…

i would not think 2000k could also have a high CRI

i have a 3000K BLF A6 and i hate the beam color
always makes everything too golden sunsetty

Hello guys, so I have quite a few flashlights, all 6500K. Over the last few days I’ve been intrigued by the idea of other color temperatures. I’m sitting in my living room by a lamp with this super soft warm yellow light and thinking how nice it would be to have some flashlights like this.

Any recommendations? Thanks!!

Great news, a decent 2000K flashlight is finally available!

Hank from Intl Outdoor was able to get E21A 2000K emitters, and you can now order a KR4 or D4V2 with E21A 2000K.

KR4

D4V2

E21A 2700K R9080 is also available, and that is the best 2700K LED right now with the highest R9.

Awesome, thanks! I just ordered the KR4 in Ti-copper in 2000K! Can’t wait to bask in that warm yellow light

What 18350 are you guys using? I have a pair of Keeppower protected button top’s that I bought for another light that ended up being too long but I don’t think these will work in the KR4 either.

Already have the D4V2 in 6500K and love it

You will need an unprotected 18350. Keeppower IMR18350 1200mAh Flat Top is one of the best 18350s available.

Awesome, thanks! Hank recommended a different one:

The one you recommend looks like it has higher discharge current and capacity. I’m not sure why he pointed me to the other one

I talked to Hank and he said the battery you recommend is better than the one he pointed me to! Thanks again
