*BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020)

I’ve been lurking and following for awhile…

Could you please add me to the list?

Thanks for all the handwork, it’s looking like an amazing tool!

The production/final unit video. Thanks

This project looks really amazing and I’ve been following it off and on for a few years. Good work my friend.

Could you please put me down for one?

all the best,
Nat

Could I be put down for one more? Should make a total of 4 for me.

Both the English and German manual are now finished and ready to print. You can download it from the sharepoint. This will be the revision (10/04/2019) that Sofirn should be using as of batch #2. It will be forwarded to Sofirn by Monday next week, i.e. right after CND celebration has ended. Now, it should be as good as it gets.

Update October 5, 2019: Some significant changes and additions have come up (see following posts) that made it necessary to revise the manual once more. I have highlighted those changes in the pictures below. Now, I really hope everything is ready for printing. The final version has the time stamp "2019/05/10".

The warranty comes separate? I see 4 references to it, but there’s no further information.

Thanks for for all involved.

Yeap it does.

( I added your post & update to the OP. :+1:

yep, its here as Lagittaja mentioned above: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YI6qtdIK24U&feature=youtu.be

Lockout uses the floor of the current ramp as its brightness for momentary output.

With a “click, hold”, it uses the floor of the other ramp instead.

Is it too late for an LT1 lantern purchase?
If it isn’t, put me down for one lantern please.

Fleshlight has spoken.

I would like the lantern with the 4 batteries included as well.
Thank you!

Fleshlight has spoken.

Thank you Den!

:THUMBS-UP:

Thanks for the hint. So, I will add this to the manual as a „last-minute“ revision. Would you recommend adding the floor/ceiling levels as well as the approximate output in muggle mode, too? This will of course only apply to the updated Andúril as of batch #2.

Thanks to flightless22 for the correction of the grammar mistake. It will be corrected.

Not sure if that info should be in the manual or not. It’s probably okay either way.

I tried to measure lumen output of the lantern, and I don’t really have a way to do it. It requires much better equipment than I have. So my numbers for it are only approximate guesses.

As for the floor and ceiling levels, the ceilings are both set to the highest level by default. The smooth ramp floor is set to the lowest level. And the stepped ramp starts at 10 and has 5 steps.

  • Smooth: 1 to 150
  • Stepped: 10 to 150 in 5 steps: 10, 45, 80, 115, 150

From the factory, it uses the stepped ramp by default.

Muggle mode is configured as level 15 to 115… but that isn’t configurable so it probably isn’t relevant for the manual. If my guesses are anywhere near accurate, that should translate to something like 20 to 350 lumens.

That‘s alright. I must admit that there‘s hardly any room left to add additional information without changing the column layout again. So, maybe we can leave the content in section „Muggle Mode“ as is.

These information should be fully included in section „Ramp Configuration“.

Can you please check once again? According to the manual and any Andúril flashlight I bought so far, SMOOTH RAMP is/was set by default. And in terms of the muggle mode the LT1 should only be using SMOOTH RAMP as this mode does not have any alternative UI, correct?

This looks amazing. Please add me to the list.

Thank you

Yes, it uses the stepped ramp by default. I added a compile-time option to make that possible, specifically for the lantern, because DBSAR wanted it. It is the only Anduril-based light so far which works this way.

Muggle mode is still smooth though.

Okay, that’s a significant change that should be reflected in the manual. So, in terms of the LT1 the default ramping mode is set to STEPPED RAMP instead of SMOOTH RAMP. Thank you for your quick feedback, TK!

I'm willing to help for a french translation. What can I do ?
