any chance these will work with a 10440 ?
ouch, these are 2V leds that should not handle more than 1.5A. so on a 10440 either the led gets way more current than that and blows, or if the driver is made for it on average 2W of heat must be dissipated by the driver which is rather steep.
Like Djozz already said, not a good idea at all. These red LEDs have a very low forward voltage and are way more sensitive to heat and overcurrent than SST-20 for example.
You could try using a 10440 3.2V LiFePO₄ battery (if these exist) but still the odds are quite good that...
In for two. Thanks!
Interested, thanks Lux!
okay thanks for answer, i realized it was kinda a stupid question afterall im used to the olight i3t it can run 10440 so ill stick with it then.
Some statistics per today...
78% fulfillment rate of Sofirn's MPQ,
96 people interested so far,
156 pcs accounted so far,
equals 1.63 Sofirn C01R per each member :-D
Please add 2 more to my original post #66
i am interested in getting 1!
One for me in each tint (if there are more than one).
One for me in each tint (if there are more than one).
For now, I would count this as one piece since I cannot guarantee that Sofirn will be offering two red tints.
Bitte, leg’ mir noch einen drauf. Danke

Im in for two
I also asked for a C01S with SST-20 2.700K 95CRI but they got another idea, trying out LH351D 2.700K 90CRI that is being used in the LT1 also.
That would be much floodier than the SST-20 C01S right? It sounds like a nice substitute for the discontinued floody C01.
Count me in for 1. Thanks!

Don't be shy djozz, you know the driver blows up… ;-)

Yes, LH351D is bigger in terms of the LED’s die size, resulting in a floodier beam.

Some time ago someone here posted a source for honeycomb optics. Along with the SST-20 @2700K…
…it is a nice warm and floody light. Sofirn should offer this TIR optics as option.
also what will the color of host be, same red as previous ?
