I don’t see why the SBT90G2 is hyped that much, just because it’s a new LED ?
Everything is a matter of finding the right combination of host, driver and emitter, just like Hank does with this updated D1sV2 which should be really good according all specifications.
Well if you all are going to cream and dream…LEP with Fixed aspheric with RLT/wavien collar (wonder if Vinh can do this?) for under a $1,000.00 dollars…
Sounds like it might be a good option for a rifle-mounted shooting light, assuming it has stiff springs at both ends of the battery to prevent recoil disconnect. I’m definitely interested.
Something that complicated with LEP and RLT collar will require a manufacturer like Microfire or Acebeam to do. I do wish someone will make one in the future. Probably can get 3+ MCD in a light of this size.
It’s probably too late to consider aspheric for this but maybe some small changes could allow a fixed aspheric version. Here’s hoping because there is very few new lights in this market and the “mid to large” reflector market is beginning to get saturated with cheaper lights.
Well it out throws an XHP35 HI whilst putting out over double the lumens. It might seem expensive but in a 70mm light it should perform about as good as a TN40 v2 whilst being much smaller and cheaper. The only alternative I can see to the SBT90G2 is 4 2mm White flats.
