Drop.com $20 off - Lumintop Copper/Brass Tool for $10 - N/A as of 12/10/19

UPDATE 12/10/2019 – The $20 off $30 coupon is now changed to $20 off $50. Thanks xevious for sharing the update –

ALERT: I realized I had a spare email account I could use for this, so I signed up. Got the $20 off coupon. There’s an asterisk… I check it. Coupon requires a purchase of a product over $50 now. Raised up from the prior $30. I guess too many people were taking advantage of it. Oh well…

Btw, while the requirement in the notification says a “product”, I did try buying multiple items that combined reach over $50, and the coupon applied. So… the restriction to buy a single product costing over $50 USD isn’t in effect.

Drop.com has a promotion where you can get $20 off any order of atleast $30 when you sign up for a new account.

You can use my referral to sign up if you prefer – https://drop.com/?referer=KCVR2Q

I ordered a Lumintop Tool Copper 219C version for $10 shipped! Always wanted to get a copper light but did not want to spend a lot! Cash

Here is the link to the light – https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-copper-aaa-pocket-flashlight (Showing Out of Stock as of 11/27)

Is the one you linked to made by Lumintop? It’s pretty similar but says massdrop and has a different style switch…

I already have too many AAA and EDC flashlights. Looked around and they’ve got only a few other flashlights available. None that grabbed me in particular. This site is VERY heavy focused towards audiophiles. Lots of audio gear. Looking at some earbuds, like these.

I got one of those some time back. Nice light. Comes on a little too easy but otherwise it’s very nice.

Odd. Can’t even look at the products without creating a login ID or letting it have your Facebook login.

I fiddled around with a couple countries and it seems they do – shipping’s generally more expensive outside the USA though.

Yes Lumintop makes the Tool that drop.com sells.
Yes one must join the site to buy their products.
Where else can you get a copper tool for $10?
I dont see how you can go wrong.

trivia
Lumintop also makes Maratac, and the head legoes to the tool
Lumintop also makes the Prometheus Beta, and the head also legoes to the tool

Anything from Drop (or anything from the US) goes via dutch customs (€18 extra minimum), so not worth it.

Thanks for the info! I just ordered one for $10 too. This will be my first copper light, so I’m excited about that. I was thinking of going with the titanium for only five bucks more, but from what I’ve heard, titanium isn’t as good as copper when it comes to heat dissipation. Though now that I think about it… I doubt the light will get hot enough for that to matter.

I got a Lumintop AAA Copper torch for $10 using a new account promo a couple of months ago. Great little light, but took over two months to arrive.

My Future's So Bright...well, my flashlights are anyways.

Does anyone know how the UI works? How do you turn on and off, how do you change modes? I hope it is not click and hold to turn on/off.

From a review:
Quote:
The flashlight has 3 modes. From off, hard press the tail cap once to turn it on. It will come on in Medium. Soft press to cycle to Low, then High then Medium again.

MediumLowHigh
Hard press to switch off the light. There is no mode memory, but if you turn on again within 3 seconds, it will go back to the next mode after the mode you left it at. E.g. switch off in Medium, turn on in Low.

So there’s no long pressing involved. It’s two different travels that make the difference (full and half, or “hard” and “soft”).

Nitecore Tini for $5?
I have mixed feelings…on one hand it’s amazing deal (as long as I don’t pay the customs) on the other – with its bad UI will I really use it? If no, that’s a loss-loss kind of deal.

I got an email with the offer in it after I signed up, which then got automatically applied when I went to order a $30+ item.
Not sure if you need to click through the email though, but if you have the discount it should appear as a message hidden under the bell icon on the top-right.

Great thanks. That works similar to a mechanical switch. Full press for on/off and half press for mode change. Since this copper version is updated to cycle through L-M-H instead of M-L-H, I will buy one for $10. Great host for a E21A 2000K.

I couldn’t pass it up for $10 bucks. Nice little AAA lights. I was already a member, when I first signed up a year ago they offered a $10 off purchase. Then after I signed up I found out that was only if I got someone else to sign up Sad . So I figured they owed me one. Used my other junk email account and signed up again. Got the $20 off and a copper tool for $10 bucks. Thanks for the heads up Thumbs Up .
.
Oh and by the way, I figured out which resistor and value to change on the driver to give a lower low if anyone is interested. Mine now does about .5 lumen in low for a moonlight low.

Thanks, cyclops! Shipping to Germany was only $2.25 for the copper Tool, so there wont even be VAT. Nice :-).

Yeah, weird that they would want commitment and personal info before one can even see what they are and what they want to sell.

Or you can create alias in your existing hotmail account. Check this – https://support.office.com/en-us/article/add-or-remove-an-email-alias-in...

Or you can use a dot ( . ) anywhere in your gmail account and it will be sent to the same email account. e.g. blf@gmail.com is your email address then b.lf@gmail.com or bl.f@gmail.com will be send to blf@gmail.com
