*BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020)

Wait, we can order all our remaining lights once we receive the second code? Is that what that comment means?

Same here

Barring Babel-speak, sure sounds like you can.

Yes that is correct. There doesn’t seem to be a limit to one this time. I ordered my remaining reservations.

Hydro dip! Any camo you want! I’m going to look into the costs, it would look awesome.

Well I got my 2nd code a few days ago and ordered my 2nd of 5 lanterns.
I just tried it for a 3rd and it did not work

You have caught my interest on that  What is hydro dip?

Its showing ‘currently unavailable’ (no batteries)@ Amazon.com …… U.S.

Hydro dip is a process in which the paint pattern is floated on the surface and the product is dipped. The paint pattern adheres when the product is removed. That’s it in a rough nutshell.

I have some hydro dip kits here if anyone is interested. I have several different patterns, colors…

I will make a list of what I have and post in a bit. All new high quality kits and half price. I need them out of my garage.

It’s actually a film, not a paint, although there is a base paint. The film is inked IIRC. Any 3D object can be done as long as you can immerse it in water.

wow that is intriguing! :+1:

Just curious, who have used their first bought LT1 lantern now in a power outage, on camping, or any emergency needing a long-running, great tint, high CRI, 360-degree light source where no electricity is available?

I am using the last bought (from the first batch) tonight, as our power went out for a couple hours.

and…

WE HAVE REACHED 10000 POSTS!

Congrats!

I was hoping I could post the 10,000th post, but I can't get them all.

Ha, well I got 10,002, so there. It’s easy to win when your goal is arbitrary :stuck_out_tongue: .

I’m aware that Coleman used many greens over the decades and my own definition was likely formed in the 80’s as I was around a number of Colemans then (and still have one in great condition), but for me “Coleman Green” means something like the lantern at top-right.

I’d like to put a proper bail handle on the LT1 when I get it. I realize that it’s not needed to avoid burns as is the case with gas lanterns, but I expect my hand to fit into the handle and that “innie” bail on the LT1, though nice for many reasons, including packaging, is not what I want.

Lucky you!

My first lantern was shipped a week ago, and I just ordered a second one for a friend.

My folding silicone bowls arrived today. I got one white and one yellow from this eBay listing. Shipping was 30 days to the US.

I’m excited to convert them into LT1 shades when my lantern arrives!
