For plain seeing things this green beam is best but for figuring out what you are seeing, white is much better.
Edit: for fun I did another beamshot with the GT-micro (14500battery, 29mm reflector) with this “Green Flat”. It is amazing how far a toy-size flashlight gets with this led (tree trunks at 25 meter, pingpongtable at 80 meter, houses behind at 120 meter, exposure just about adjusted to what I see with my eyes)
I tried it, it has the strength but I was disappointed with the color, because its is converted gree it is quite light green tint, almost looks like yellow. Cree XPE has much nicer tint, darker green, more intensive, but lacks in strenght significantly.
I also have Osram blue flat, 1x1 die, but did not test it in the flashlight.
Stuck one in a Jax with a 5amp driver just for curiosity…. not the best image but gives you an idea… thumbs down from me green light on green background next to useless past a hundred meters. ill be sticking with white.
Nowehere so far.
There was a mention of them being sold on some Asian flashlight forum.
L4P has samples but not on sale yet.
Vinh has some but not on sale either.
