As I understand it right now, there is not truly a “batch”, I think that is just a translation error. As I understand it they simply made all they can make before the holiday and will make the rest when the factory opens back up.
So far as I know we have not sold out of the GB lights yet, although I am not sure how many are left.
As long as the promo code works when checking out, the price is in effect. He will disable the code when the GB is over. When that will be I simply can’t say at this point.
I think it is the other way around IIRC, DHL handles the international part and UPS will sometimes deliver to your door. From what I remember DHL is bigger then UPS internationally. Could be wrong though.
UPS operate more airplanes and carry alot of air cargo for others, probably including DHL. Though I’d expect the carrier to vary between routes (for example HK to US might fly UPS while HK to Europe might fly DHL) and over time as the airlines adjust their fleets and schedules, and the couriers negotiate and renegotiate contracts.
So I don’t know IF I should be alarmed but I just checked the tracking from DHL and after being on “hold” the next update has me worried……
” Monday, January 20, 2020 Location Time
3 Awaiting collection by recipient as requested HONG KONG - HONG KONG 14:51”
Only a bit worried as the delivery is to “Canada” while its location is still in “Hong Kong” and awaiting collection by recipient(?) am I just paranoid or did someone hijack my package……
Mine says the same thing, so I just assume “recipient” is whoever is next in line in the shipping chain. (First time for me in a group buy type of thing from China so I guess this is normal).
First time seeing this from DHL as I’ve had a fair number of things from China sent Via DHL…… Though the other packages weren’t flashlights but rather swords from blacksmiths on wechat…
Probably not hijacked, more likely they’re returning it to sender (i.e. waiting for Neal to pickup the package). DHL tracking says my GT90 is in Canada with the delivery expected tomorrow.
Yeah, I would not be worried about the tracking. Most likely it is waiting to be picked up by the courier. In China most international shipping is not done directly from the sender, instead they give it to a “state friendly” shipping “distributor” that then handles getting the package out of the country.
I don’t know all the details but there are a lot of politics involved. It is most likely waiting for the next step in the chain.
