Okay, so I’ve pulled apart my MF01 driver (the buck one, v2.1) that I got from you; everything’s working fine, just re-wiring it. Just testing with the DMM and I seem to be getting 140-150 ohms between LED+ and LED-. Unsure if that’s expected behaviour; seems to be happening on both sets of emitter wires. Open to thoughts! I’m reflowing it now on a heating platform in case I’ve done something stupid somehow.

Is it possible to get this image redone without the components on it, so I can trace and isolate?
Measuring this is no defect its just that the Shottky diode gets conductive by your DMM
they respond very fast and can deliver high currents but also have a quite considerable leak current
diode test shows me one side about 0.1V the other side 2.8V
a proper test would be a current-limited source of like 1A and then measure the current in both ways

Lexel what is the minimum input voltage that could be used for one of these larger boost drivers? Would it be possible to power an XPL with this using only 2 NIMH cells? If so what would be the maximum possible drive current for the LED?
Those drivers are specific for UVC LEDs its working fine with 8V and 500mA, the chips input switching limit is 1.2A so 8V 500mA is pretty much at its limit
its >3V input voltage so only lithium battery

I see no problem modding one Buck side to be on another channel for tint ramping
for moonlight and low levels there would be a shared PWM pin putting the Bucks synchronous into a lower output
the more challenge is to look into Andurils Tint ramp code to add the Buck PWM channel to the existing 2 channel tint mixing
So this would require hardware modification of your driver ? + anduril modification to support tint ramping. Would you be able to provide this to sell ? Or will I need to mod the firmware myself ? (Not sure I am capable, I am big noob in that regard).
Also this driver is only compatible with the mf01, not mf01s right ?, is this due to body difference (driver cavity depth ?), cell carier modability or something else ?
I don’t have the flashlight so I’m checking if this is viable to decide to buy it or not.
driver is quite easy removing one trace and wire it separately from the input resistor
looking at the lantern Anduril config file it seems it uses only one ramp register and rest is done with separate tint mixing code
so replacing that should be possible but has to be tested
