Does buying your first two (hopefully) decent flashlights days apart and then before they've even been shipped ordering a bunch of batteries, a wf-188, and a little prolux 3834 before batteries have been shipped count ?
Hmm, may need some more batteries, and I'll have to get a power supply and rig a cell holder from plastic conduit for the prolux...
I think I qualify. I just bought a couple of 18650s. I don't have any lights that take 18650s. But now I have a justification for buying a new light in that format. And a charger.
Indeed, now you *have* to! Otherwise it would be as bad as not buying those thing you didn't want in the supermarket even though they were buy-one-get-one-free! :P
Maplins have a great switch mode bench top power supply - 0-20v 0-5A, overkill for a hobby charger so to justify the expense I'll have to buy some emitters and start turning heatsinks. I'm sure it'll have other great uses too ...
You might be a flashaholic ….if a crescent moon or bright stars make you mad …. because it isn’t dark enough to show off your newest flashlight .
If your friends are discussing race …and you begin to refer to people as …Warm, neutral and cool.
As a policeman …if you’re chasing down a killer who thinks breaking all the light bulbs in the building gives him an advantage …… you just smile…
…If you know exactly how many lumens 87 candles on grandmas birthday cake is putting out.
If the PWM on your electric razors charging light bothers you …you might just be a flashaholic
You EDC at least two flashlights, but when you’re going somewhere and expect to “need” a flashlight, you grab another one rather than just relying on the two you already have.
Not of topic and not discussed
Check Nr 2 in OP
“2.While having sex you utter the name of a high end flashlight instead of your mates .”
Like WTF, ones mates names, really?
….if there is an overrun of a dozen or more near your desktop that you find yourself looking at more than using…… of course these are just “expendable” lights, the real ones are tucked securely away where you know you can find one when you really NEED IT…
When you stand a solid minute in front of your flashlight shelf to choose THE RIGHT ONE before leaving for the week-end…in a house…in the city…
Oh but of course, you’ll end up taking at least three : a flooder, a thrower and one more for good measure…
HaHa! Nope, this is what I do… every time! :person_facepalming:
I have a DQG Hobi on my keyring, and I carry the Olight S1A in another pocket (the one I got for doing a review, along with 49 other BLFers). But I almost always grab another flashlight if I’m going anywhere that I expect to still be there at night. Oh yeah, my car currently has TWO flashlights in it as well!
…When you watch the movie you pause the movie and try to determine which flashlight the main character is using.
And then disappointedly you will recognize in this flashlight an inexpensive low-quality chines brand.
Somehow I started to watch (= quick browsing) exploration YouTube videos where people explore abandoned buildings, hospitals and malls. I have thought about contacting these guys to advise about flashlights…
