scrap the amc's and use something better (not sure if thats possible for the application though)

For what I'm working on, AMC7135s are the best choice I've been able to find. They work alright, they just have a really crappy lead-frame that is ridiculously easy to damage.

And I thought that I was the only one… forget clean rework/salvage on those little goomers… particularly if you soldered the tab.

Nope, you're definitely not the only one. The lead-frame is made out of rice-plastic and pot metal, I think. The ONLY way I've been successful at rework is using hot-air..

Mostly cognac, or vodka with lemonade. Also love mojito's but they are often terribly made with crappy dried mint leaves.

Them mint grows like weeds. Those bastards, put them in your garden and they'll take over the whole lot!
