Big discount today

It came today! Really nice quality headlamp especially for $29.99! The headband is tight on my normal sized head on it's loosest position. If you have a big head, it may be a problem.

Nice. Thanks for sharing. I hope mine gets here this week!

Do you find it annoying when they excessively label stuff? Like that "HEADLAMP" on the band. I suppose their supplier will add text at no additional cost and they feel they have to use it.

I got mine today as well. I didn’t look at the instructions for it and totally forgot it had the dimming feature. I started playing around with it and was kind of wondering why I had bought it because I thought it was just high and low modes with a double-click for blinkies (basically thought it was just a generic driver), until I re-read the first post in the thread.

I’m pretty sure I will forget it’s features and how to access them if I don’t regularly use this light. My only other headlamp is a 3xAAA light which is partly why I wanted something better.

Also, the headband seems to be pretty tight. I have it set to the max (it came that way) and it feels on the snug side. I don’t believe I have a big head either. It’ll probably stretch out over time, but I think people with larger heads might find it tight.

Ugg. Got mine today finally. It turned on and I started scrolling through the modes and it started behaving erratically. Switched batteries. Nothing- no response from the light. Switched back to the xtar 3100 it flicks on briefly, then shuts off. Now it won’t turn on at all. I don’t know if I have the patience for customer service- but it appears to be dead.

Wow man that sucks. Luckily mine works the way it should. I'd be interested in how this seller handles your problem.. Please keep us informed..

For the price I paid, I don't care what the headband says. That said, I do agree with you. it's tacky as hell...

As far as I can remember it’s my first DOA light. I didn’t even have a chance to leave it in the rain or test the reverse polarity. I’ll definitely update this thread on the outcome.

Available in warm white for $34: http://www.newestrend.com/crelant-ch10-cree-xml2-warm-white-460-lumens-stepless-dimming-headlamp-1-x-18650-or-2-x-cr123a-p-1137.html

Not bad - of course it makes no sense: same amps at 2A and same lumens rating, but 3500K vs. cool white. The tint is not listed on the Crelant website, so who knows...

Got mone today. Put a battery in it and tested the UI. Then broke it. Oops.
I unscrewed the head to poke around inside and pulled an emitter lead off. Easy fix, but I think I’ll tinker a bit before I put it back together.

Haven’t received mine yet but you guys are starting to scare me. Hopefully they will take care of the folks who got bad units.

Got mine today from the post office because I missed them Saturday. Everything in order: good packaging and a good sample. The headband is a little small as others have mentioned and it’s decent quality. The light itself looks to have a good build quality and the fit and finish are excellent. Well centered emitter, good quality optics and no flaws in the finish. This my 2nd headlamp, with the first being a Nitecore HC50, so it looks my collection is off to a good start.

This is exactly what I was expecting and the seller looks legit!

Just as advertised, this model uses a constant current circuit on every brightness level and has the ability to ramp down to sub-lumen moonlight mode. I’m not sure what the standby current is on this but I’m guessing it’s more than acceptable, and has tailcap lockout which makes this a good candidate for my disaster bag. With a pack of 10 year shelf life CR123A batteries that’s a whole lot of run time on low or moonlight in an emergency. Tint is cool white. The deep textured reflector give this thing a little throw, too, and a nice beam. All things considered, this is a good value. Now I’m plotting my next headlamp. Maybe a Spark SG3/SG5.

Well now I have to get a quote to ship it back. I guess it’s my fault for ordering something from Hong Kong. The customer service isn’t terrible but it’s a huge pain for a $30 light that will probably take several months to get replaced. By the way the inside of the light has tiny tiny wires that have very thin jackets.

My Crelant CH10 arrived today. Thanks NewesTrend.

thanks for posting the pictures, very nice! That switch looks ‘beefy’, how is the feel of it?

The switch is as beefy as it looks and has a solid feel.

Great headlamp. I agree the switch has a nice solid feel and click. I'm thrilled with mine!. One thing though, it's claimed to be an OP reflector, which it kind of is, but it's minimal to say the least. Almost smooth. How about you guys?

Got mine today and I am very pleased with it.
Just measured “tailcap” currents and got 1,9A on high and about 0.2A on low, parasitic drain is about 0.08A

Mine was flickering in the first but cleaning the contact areas solved this problem.

Not that much thinner as in other lights, it is just the insulation that is much thinner.
