Wow. What a difference. Looks like your trying to sear a hole through the building. Thats interesting to hear about the tint after dedoming.
WOW !!!
Good job Kenjii and the pictures are great.

Nice! :-)
I would not mind knowing the led-current, but that is different from tail-current with a buckdriver, so not easy to measure :-(
Hy,
my multimeter is crap. Volts are ok to measure but Amps are not accurate. But i think 5 Amps to the emitter are realistic.
Theory: 43 KLux (Original) x 1,6 (XP-G2) x 1,9 (dedome) x 1,6 (5A) = 209 KLux.

:-) Thanks, I like this type of calculation :-)
Nice mod and good results! Good to know how it does with a hot setup. I'd prefer a FET based driver for single cell use though, but your setup would be great for a pair of good 26650 cells w/extension tube.
Sweet mod! I’m jealous now!
nice mod ,great thrower.
Vinh HAS to do a run of these with the XPG2, what a fantastic mod, well done
wow, amazing mod kenjii, maybe i will send you mine, hehe
Nice work. That final beam shot picture is cool.
You mean like this?
I already have a second one for our man in Amsterdam (not djozz). But this time i am going to take the most powerful one. When modding the Thrunite Catapult he got the better one.

Does the head twist or slide?
Great work, I always like seeing the red threw aspheric’s.
I absolutely love the look of that light in shorty mode. Next time use the FET driver in it.
Twist. And very smooth, too.
Hi Kenjii, I did a similar mod on the Uniquefire UF-1406 (here) and I am curious about how they compare. Are you able to measure the output (in lumens) of the modded Jax at zoom-in and zoom-out?
Hy,
no unfortuantly i can´t measure lumens. Never did ceiling bounce, too. I am only interested in Lux/candles
Yes, i saw the Z1vn but i don´t think they will be comparable to mine as Vinh uses a single cell driver, so it will be almost impossible to reach stable high currents. MT-G2 and SBT-70 are nice but i think they might produce too much heat for this host.

Hy,
the second Z1 for our man in Amsterdam is finished. Both lights perform almost identically. Measured 225-228 KLux/Kcd.

Beamshot slightly overexposed due to foggy weather
cool beam shot and great work.
