Freeme Review: JETBeam JET-1 MK 480lm XP-G2 14500/ AA - incomplete, pic only

Reserved for updates.

Ough! Not easy to mod? I was already imagining a 4000K light :frowning:

Thanks for the quick review

I could see that there a little gap in here. I tried to open with my bare hands but it seem to be sealed.

Haha, nothing is un-modifiable for the experts. LED swap is still possible at this stage.

Nice review and pictures! I hope the bezel opens with a bit of heat and brute force, planning to swap for a XP-G3.

Is that fogging in your light because of moisture?

Thank you. You will definitely need some help with the tools. Almost none of my lights exhibit such issue. I just left the light in my dry cabinet, will verify if it is due to moisture later.

Images are superb. You understand how to correctly light a scene. :+1: Disappointed about the flashlight’s very cool tint. Looking forward to the rest of the review.

I like dark-gray and smooth anodising typical of Jetbeam, nice that this little lights also show it; very good pictures freeme; I am again hopeful about a 4000K nice Jetbeams.

Lens still turns foggy after leaving it in my dry cabinet over night. Doubt there is much I could do, unless I open up to find out the problem.

Nice pictures!

I also have the light on order and after seeing the tint in your pictures I definitly want to change the led and if possible the mcpcb to a copper one (just to have it in there  )

Can you do a runtime graph? Someting like that would be great http://i1024.photobucket.com/albums/y309/Budda_CPF/Manker%20E11/E11%20XX_zpsutk7ytpn.png

Glad you like it. I will get the runtime chart up soon!

Great!

Nice review!
I like its overall design, but IMO the head’s design is quite plain.

really great pictures!

thanks for the review

I wonder if that tapped screw hole that you mentioned can attach a jetbeam defense/window breaking cone. Thanks for the pics!

Update:

That is bad, how is pwm with a nimh?

No visible PWM with AA.

Thanks a lot for all the effort! I think that I´ll skip this one. Also it is a twisty… I don´t like AA twisties.

Still trying to unscrew the bezel …

Got mine yesterday. I got like 500 lumen with my ceiling bounce with 14500. Pretty short runtime. Like 20 min and gets super hot.

Biggest disappointment is that it doesn’t pocket well. Pocket clip doesn’t hold in jeans tightly and the anno is very slick. Its been sliding around in my pocket all morning.
