Bought one, thanks for the GB!

I bought the “Astrolux” MH10 short tube from Banggood and Keeppower IMR 18350 and Samsung 30Q for the combo. I hope they’ll work.

If the code is still available, I’ll take one.

Thanks.

Keep us posted. I have the Astrolux version coming as well, not sure if i was one of the first 100 orders to get the free short tube. I will compare tints and keep the one I like (suspect it will be Astrolux NW) and gift the other to one of my friends for xmas.

Ordered a DN12.

Thanks.

Pretty please?

Thanks Freeme. Couldn’t resist. Pulled the trigger on a DN11.

Mahalo!

Same here.
Same simptoms and light is not working anymore.

My astrolux version did that once. It showed 1000 lumens but was barely bright. I unscrewed the tailcap and screwed it back. Ive had many strange things going on with this light. In short, the touch buttons are too finicky for the ui. The light isnt reliable. Cant count on it to turn on properly amongst other things. Its cute and i want to like it but seems like a gimmicky light.

+1, it’s useless flashlight with voltmeter for the shelf.
Don’t buy it, people

The UI is certainly novel, but for a reason, super unique. Quite finicky if you don’t concentrate.

But then again, I like the warm white tint on my MH10 very much.

This. So much this. The tint is really nice! And this thing has a good amount of throw for its size. Beam pattern is decent but the inner part of the bezel has these indents (why?) and I think that along with the smooth reflector cause some artifacts. Nothing major though. I have discovered this:

still don’t know what lock and unlock do other than this

I assume it was a feature that never ended up in the driver firmware. I tried every possible combination of multiple clicks and hold I came up with in every mode but never found the lockout mode.

Honestly though this light is pretty hard to just turn on by accident. Heck it barely turns on when you want it to. So I don’t think lock out mode was necessary. It’s just odd to have those buttons on this light. It’s unfortunate but to me, it seems many companies do not plan their products. They end up getting random parts for cheap and just throw them together into a hodge podge. In theory, this is why I enjoy the BLF projects you all do on here. Products designed by users = best idea ever. It’s still up to the manufacturer to do it right though (cometa). Imalent really should have thought about this design before mass producing it. Touch buttons on a flashlight are just a bad idea. Something like this would work much better http://www.banggood.com/Maeerxu-SM02-CREE-XM-L2-1000LM-18650-Waterproof-LED-Flashlight-p-1018523.html
I am also guessing they got these OLED plastic caps for super cheap because again its another poor idea. Why take a crisp OLED display then put some cheap, frosted plastic over it so it blurs out the nice display? A clear circle of plastic, or dare I say, glass would have really made this display pop. I realize they have to keep production costs down but honestly other than the gimmicky features this light is nothing special. A 1000 lumen 1 18650 light, woopty doo. So if you are going to make gimmicky features your selling point at least make them awesome.
And given the perceived quality issues with this light, I am not convinced Imalent is the house brand Banggood needs building their lights. Maybe I am wrong and this particular light is just a dud for some people, I have never used any other Imalent lights but have heard very bad things about that holster and how they cheaped out on the “screw fix”. So glad Thorfire is working with BLF to make the new soda can light! Ok I have said my peace, or piece. Not sure.

I have been playing with the DN12 for a couple of days and just awhile ago got the MH10.
At first it was tricky to get them on but after playing around with them its pretty easy.
The lock button lowers as does the unlock button. I havnt been able to figure out if it does anything else.
The throw on the DN12 is pretty friggan sweet, havent used the MH10 yet as I just got it a couple of hours ago. I also got the short tube with the MH10.
The display on the DN12 is a little foggy, the display on the MH10 is much more clear.
The tail cap on the MH10 is longer than the tailcap on the DN12.
The heads look the same.
The short tube that came with the MH10 is knurled, with this attatched it looks different than the DN12.

And I like the cold white tint on the MH10.

It is kind of hard to find the touch button if its dark.
Gimmick? I dont know, dont really care. For me, its different. Thats why I bought them. Will I use them alot, probably not but I can say that for alot of my lights  My 13yo likes it.

Overall they are okay for me, I may try and move them or I may just keep them.

The throw is sweet

Im interested if its still available

DN11 Interested if code still alive, pm code if possible, many thanks

i really wanted to like this light, but the UI holds much to desire, and the touch buttons… well, maybe if i used lotion on my hands daily, but up in the cold north everyone has dry hands during the winter and the touch is very inconsistant and seems like it would be difficult to work in pitch black.

Very unfortunate as i love the size of the light, and the light output is substantial for its size and shape. I also love side buttons, but these touch buttons are terrible. the display is nice, but a bit of a gimmick. USB charging is a great feature if i plan to offer these lights to friends/family, but its unfortunate that the light requires a button top to run.

Pro’s:
its a great size
display is a nice touch
unlimited brightness levels (sorta)
USB charging
Great light out put and awesome throw for a small light
Side switch

Cons:
Side switch is touch, and inconsistent
UI needs some work (no instant high, no instant low)
blinky modes too easy to activate on accident (read sideswitch issues)
no clip :frowning:
requires button tops

Very interested in this one

DN11 is sold out.

You guys might want to consider Astrolux MH10 $26.50 as an alternative?

I just read about the Astrolux MH10 and saw a mention that it’s the same as the Imalent DN11.
Are the two flashlights the exact same or are there differences? (I mean, is the Astrolux MH10 a clone of the DN11 or vice-versa by a different manufacturer, or are they from the same manufacturer?)
