UniqueFire UF-S7 Cree XM-L U2 7-LED 5-Mode Flashlight

Ok guys I'm thinking about pulling the plug on this one after buying the last 3x-ml light I got.  It really lights up the backyard.  And I thought this one would be even way better.  Are these any good?  I want to stick with 18650's and don't want to go the 26650 route.  Is this light worth it?  I have a UniqueFire already in a single xm-l and really like it.  One of my better throwers.

After getting the Trustfire TR-J12 recently, I'm itching to try this one too.

I've been eyeing this one for a while too. Every time I look at it, I start coming down with the lumen-fever and have to hide my wallet. Do you think we could get a group-buy on this thing?

TODO List:

Acquire more parts.

Devise cheap way to make TIRs.

Rub some bacon on it.

Finish something that I

I couldnt resist. I pulled the trigger, and its already shipped. I also ordered the beast 7 led driver from KD to mod it.

I like the more aggressive hand grip on this Uniquefire than the Trustfire too.

Same as my Keygos. Moderately driven, you might be disappointed. (I was)

Here's a comparison to SkyRay King NW: (mouse over for Keygos)

Wasn't one of the UniqueFire 5x XM-L lights the one that used the floating pill? If so I am not sure I would risk getting the UniqueFire 7x and getting a floating pill when the TrustFire TR-J18 is almost guaranteed to use a screw in pill and conduct heat better.

Again, let me know how this goes, if it goes well I may get one of the 7x lights and the beast driver as well Smile

I'm going to purchase this light or the Trustfire TF-J12, but want to see what you think of this Uniquefire before I make a purchase. Thanks.

Both UniqueFire flashlight and KD driver are in my local post office. More information on Tuesday, since tomorrow is a puplic holiday here.

Are the 7 LEDs in this UniqueFire in series or parallel? and is this the same light as the TR-J18?

thanks theo_mich

Sorry for the late response but i’ve been really busy the last couple of months.
Got to thank keltex78 for the notification.

I did received the uf-s7 and the kd driver…
I also did a quick test, comparing it to my tr-j12. I found the j12 much brighter, like 10-15%, both stock.

I took apart the s7 to find an easy way to mount the KD driver. Well, there is no easy way.. Sad
The kd driver is smaller in diameter and much longer than the stock.
A way for this to happen, is by removing the vertical capacitor and leave it floating in the pill somehow,
to reduce the overall lenght of the driver and using some copper reducer fitting to match the different diameters
of the pill and driver.

The leds are in series. I hope i’ll find some time soon for photos and some measurements.

The actual mod is gonna wait at least a few weeks. I will definitely post more photos then.
