Like DX seems to be, Botach has shown mixed results. I have an order still open since mid Feb and last communication on it was early April. Last time I asked their CS, they had no idea what an ETA would be . . .
Don't bother. I have several pieces both types and both had problems. The head on the Nano likes to unscrew itself, leaving you with a pocket full of batteries shorted out by your keys. The eGear version is MUCH better. An amazing little doohickey. Well worth carrying.
The "switch" on the larger version seems to get flakey after carrying it around in your pocket for a while. I REALLY like the 4Sevens Quark 123 Mini (but you get what you pay for)...
+1 For the egear light. I have been carrying mine on a keychain for a couple months and it functions like new.
I just got that Streamlight Protac AAA penlight. Penlights are my thing so can’t wait to try it out. I’ve ordered from Botach about half a dozen times over the past few years and have always been pleased with the items and shipping times. Heard bad stories but they have been 100% good to me.
My brother just got a Microstream. 28 lumens. Uses a Cree XP-C. Amazon has it for $17, and this sale puts it at $14.
happy to hear some are grabbing these deals and I hope Botach sends them out quickly. I ordered a Leatherman from them on a sale some time back. Got it very quickly but I'm in the same state as them. I ordered a 2nd one and it was backordered for too long a time so I cancelled it. I would like to get one of those Microstreams. I think the inventory on some of these lights might go quickly, just sayin'....
Yeah I love 2AAA penlights too! I EDC a StreamLight Stlyus Pro in blue its really handy, and fits in my pocket nice and slim. A 1AA light is not the right size to clip to my pocket as an EDC, I like the penlights more.
Do you know how the modes changes on the ProTac?? Is it with the clicky or with a twist? I know it has a stroble, so thats like 3 modes. I wonder if it has memory because on YouTube I saw it go Hi-Strobe-Low, and it sucks to do that each time you want to use Low. Thanks.
GottaZoom your experience is commonplace. I've frequented gun boards for many years (my other passion) and they have ( at best ) a Spotty Reputation damned near everywhere.
Almost 2 hours yesterday for a Live Chat operator that was "busy with other customers" before I gave up . . sent an email to see if that will work.
I have ordered a bunch of times from Botach, my last order was in December. My ordered showed up relatively fast, but the plus two magazine extensions for my Glock 30 never showed. I wasn't charged for them so no big deal. The plus twos finally showed up a couple weeks ago almost 5 months later.
If you like the Stylus Pro, the Pelican 1920 will knock your socks off. Brighter with better tint. It replaced my Stylus as soon as I got it. It is a good one. I carried the Pro for a few months but can’t go back after having the Pelican.
