which 18650 for a sky Ray king

Hi

I have posted another thread in battery section, and with the help of some other members came up with these batteries for being an upgarde from the trustfire Flames.

Which 18650 batteries would be the best for a Skyray King?

Xstar 2600
Panasonic
HiMax 2600

Any links where i can buy the originals would be great.

Xtar 2600 would keep higher voltage for longer and since the King runs parallel there won’t be as large of a current draw per cell so you won’t be at 2C per cell even.

thanks for your help, sorry im not too familar with the technical side of batteries. i guess your saying the Xstar would be better.

have you seen these, they seem alright, but could be a marketing bluff. But for them to put them in a nice blister packaging, they could end up being good. See link below if you like.

I have been using XTAR 2600s and I'm happy with them.

Is that really true for the King? 3XMLs, all fired up at about 3A.. not much different from most single-cell lights., current-per-cell-wise.

Do you want protected or unprotected cells?

LG D1’s if you have 4.35V capable chargers, anything UR18650FM-based (e.g. RediLast 2600mAh, Hi-Max 2600mAh and others) if you don’t.

Isnt it more like..

protected -> HiMax, RediLast

unprotected -> LG

Well, LG’s indeed are better even at 4.2V, but they also are quite expensive (4 Xtar 2600mAh’s = $27, 4 LG’s = $40).

Oh yeah, I tend not to look at the price when buying flashlight stuff because.. well, we all know why. :D

atm Keeppower & Panasonic NCR18650B are the strongest. Where to buy 4 xtar 2600 for 27? Since it’s 19-24 dollar for 2.

Well no, for single cell lights LG D1’s still are the kings.

The much higher voltage is way more important than tiny increase of capacity.

@the Xtar price: bestvaping.net has Xtar 2600mAh’s for $4.33/piece + shipping.
