Worst seller experience ever - DX

I’m really pissed off… This is the worst experience i ever had with a budget seller. I copy here the status of the order i placed on DX on 18/05 because i think it’s hard to believe that someone could manage an order so bad…

18/05/2012 11:26:19 PendingPayment Order has been created, awaiting payment.
18/05/2012 11:26:25 PaymentConfirmed Payment verified. Order is being processed.
23/05/2012 09:05:26 PrepareShipment Order is being prepared for shipment.

(After 14 days nothing happened so I contact BIBIwood that check the order and discover that someone manually change the satus of the order in “Prepare shipment” and the order is stucked with no reason. The same day the order change status and go back to “BackOrder”)

06/06/2012 23:30:05 BackOrder One or more of your items are temporarily out of stock.
07/06/2012 09:47:09 PrepareShipment Order is being prepared for shipment.

(After ither 20 days, tired of waiting, I contact CS that assure me that the order will be ship next week. Magically the status go back again to “BackOrder”)

27/06/2012 01:51:47 BackOrder One or more of your items are temporarily out of stock.

Almost 40 days after the order (and the payment) I still don’t know when (and if) I’ll get my order.

For comparison, in the same time I ordered and received 3 order from other suppliers (KD and DD) without any problems.
My personal AVOID label is on DX…

That’s why I prefer Manafont for my purchases when possible. They don’t have the same variety of items that DX has, but for flashlight nuts, they have a good assortment. They have always shipped promptly for me, and I have been happy with them.

I just waded through the DX points redemption program in an attempt to use the points I have accumulated since I shop with them so little now. I used my points to get their unbranded version of the Dongrui All-920 so, if it works like it should, I should get the light for the cost of the 2x USB-mini OTG adaptors I used for the original order. That’s another thing Manafont does better! Give me a box that says “Do you want to apply your points to this order” instead of making me jump through hoops.

Keepin’ the “B” in BLF

We hear you. DX still has its previous quirks despite some newer success stories...

Either:

1. Cancel now, and reorder (renew your buyer protection)
2. Cancel now and order elsewhere

Don't wait any longer, or else your buyer protection expires.

Ok now you deleted your comment denying posting it which I do not have a screenshot of. This is the type behavior that makes it so no one trusts you. This is not the first time you have done this to me and commented and if I correctedy you deleting it and denying that it ever happened. Here the screenshot is. Sorry embedding doesn't want to work on my iPhone.

Where would you recommend he reorder?

Well, DX can't be the only one stocking whatever Davx ordering?

Can try Buyincoins, Manafont, IO, CQQG, ebay etc... if not, google can help.

Personally for me, if BIC carries it, I would buy from there. EXCEPT rechargable batteries - I only buy from MF.

I also have DX on my personal AVOID list. The only thing they don’t do is spam forums, which is their only virtue that saves them from a BLF AVOID rating. But their customer service and business practices are world-class awful.

I have generally seen the fastest turnaround time from eBay sellers, because they have a public rating to worry about and therefore they actually care about pleasing their customers. On the other hand, many sellers who have their own website seem to treat their customers as an an unnecessary annoyance.

LOL, I’ve got a backorder from Botach Tachtical over 120 days old and they’ve still given NO idea when or if they will send it. No language problems . . they simply won’t tell their customer service people what to say . . even when they go and ask.

It’s such a common item that I think they are deliberately holding it to prompt a cancellation and avoid paying the promised free shipping on it after already sending the rest of a fairly large order.

Finally bought the same thing new at a local Army Surplus store having to pay their premium and sales tax, but I’ve left the BoTach order open to see just how bad they will be on this.

Thanks for the answer. I’ll wait till paypal limit then i’ll decide what to do.

Don’t worry scaru, i was right in front of my pc and i read all the comments, also the one cancelled by some users. I know you’re telling the truth.
It’s a forum where everyone can post his opinion or cancel it, respecting the others users.

Yeah, DX is slow but I have always received what I ordered. MF screwed up my first order with them and CS wasn't helpful so I'm done with them.

One reason to split up orders when shopping from these guys ....2$'s worth of heat sink paste can hold up a 200$ order ..

not the brightest tools in the shed

no free pass for manafont either .. they suck just as bad and are more expensive too.
