here’s a simple trick to turn a throwy light into flooder. just clamp it down with the bezel and stowed in the batt compartment when not in use.

Where did you get that diffuser?
What material did you use to make the diffuser? I used a similar process to diffuse the beam on some cheap household LED bulbs that use TIR optics to focus the beam. The beam was too tight for general use, so I cut circles from a plastic milk jug and placed those over the optic array and it softened the pattern very well.
oh i cut up those sleeves that hold 35mm film after being developed. very thin. but i don’t know how much light it cuts
another option would be to sandblast a glass lens, but so far this works satisfactorily
