How do you check current draw on a twisty or piston flashlight?

I feel really stupid for asking, but I was wondering what is the best way to check current draw on lights that aren’t just standard tail clickies. In the case of of twisties and piston drive lights there is no body tube to hold the battery in contact with the head or as a place to put one of the leads. I’ve been wanting to do some testing on some of my twisties, but wasn’t sure what the best or easiest method was to do so. Plus, I thought a thread about it might come in handy in the future for others who may have the same question. If at some point, someone wants to post pictures as a step-by-step, maybe we can get this stickied.

Can't post pictures but what you need to do is place the battery on top of the head with the correct polarity. You then use the leads of your DMM to connect the other end of the battery to the head of the flashlight. Hope that helps.

There are a few pictures in my DMM guide.
