Where to get a headlamp strap to make a flashlight into a headlamp?

I want to turn my Fandyfire HD-2011 into a 18650 headlamp because it has plenty of flood and I think it would be good at this task. I want to be able to put it in the strap and take it out when needed. I am doing this rather than buy a 18650 headlight like the UF-H3 because I have too many lights to just keep buying more and more.

i dont know about 18650. it depends on the outer diameter of the torch, see:

NiteCore HB02 2nd Generation Headband New Version:

I haggled with them for a while and got the headband for $2.30 + $5.00 shipping = $7.30 shipped!

I’ve just ordered a couple of the KD ones, but don’t know yet what will fit. Link here

That KD headband won't work very well with the FandyFire HD2011.

The NiteCore will.

The Klarus P1A with its 23.1mm bezel diameter works okay with the headband:

I would not recommend any thicker diameter (e.g. 23.5mm+) with this headband.

Pretty sure nite-ize was the first one to do this. Not sure how well it works with the 2011 though.

Hi SpeedSix,it is not easy to change a barrel shape flashlight to a headlamp.
you can use a common headlamp strap but most importantly this strap can allow you to move flashlight over your ear
so as to get a forward beam.

Welcome to the monkey house, Clarie-LED!

I’ve been using the niteize head strap shown above for years. It’s housed a minimag, cheap 3xaaa zoomy and currently carries a c8 so its pretty versatile.

I’m thinking of replacing it with a new one, not because its broke but because its got a lot of oil ingrained in it now and I fear washing it and ruining the Velcro.

I ordered the KD strap from the Ultrafire. If it doesn’t work, at least I have a spare for my Ultrafire headlamp I already have.

The KD headband will work with angled lights only (up to 23.5mm max bezel diameter). for example with the P1A, one cannot point downwards. However, if you're at night for a walk thru a park (woods) and you intend to illuminate cats, squirrels and sleeping birds up in the trees, then this setup will work well.

because the P1A in the KD headband points upwards :)

I have a half dozen of the KD headlamp straps also. The KD one is identical to the UFH3 headlamp strap but the UFH2 headlamp had smaller rings on the strap to grab the smaller diameter lights and I have 2 of these they work good for mini mags also.

The KD headband that I had was not very good. The holder was strong and stretchy, but it had a very strong odor that never went away. The smell was very bothersome to me. The headband was very poor also. It was thin and very weak. It was not strong enough to keep anything but the lightest of items from sagging down and flopping around on my head. It was a waste of money for me.

The Nitecore H502b was a much better product for me. It is made of thick and strong elastic. I thought it was funny to wear a flashlight on the top of my head. It does look silly, but it works very well. It is easy to position the light to the angle you need. This is an advantage over headbands that position the light at the temple which are difficult to adjust to your needs. I also like that it has a reflective strip on the back as I sometimes use it on my early morning jogs. It was a good purchase.

The Fenix Headband, might be overkill. Two light holders that swivel I use Solarforece L2R’s with it. It would have to be a fairly narrow 18650 light for the Fenix Headband
