Ultrafire C12 is this the new C8?

The spec say:

size: 140mm*34mm(head)*25mm(body)

flashlight weight: 135g

To me it look like a 45mm head.

I love the fins.

Looks pretty nice. Anyone wanna order one?

+1

Lightmalls have it for $18.

It looks like a C8’s reflector… anyone can confirm this?
I don’t like the SMO reflector and would prefer an OP.

Yes it’s smooth but nice.

You can always but an OP for $4

mmmhh it looks like a “pencil” beam

I have some spare C8 OP reflectors… but don’t know if the C12 use the exact reflector size.

I think it’s the same size. I will check for you later.

Yes the C12 reflector is the same size as the C8.

The pill is the same size as the pill and body of the C8

Many thanks for the info!

This is for you FX-32

C12 Left and C8 right

Thanks how2 for this great comparison!
it seems that the C12 has way better heatsink both in the body and also in the pill, nice for high current mods.

I’m Getting 3amp or over depending on the battery.
Have not had time to play with it.
This makes the c8 look obsolete. I wish I did not purchase my C8 lights.

The best price I can find so far is at LightMalls USD18. I can’t find it on eBay, DX, KD or MF.

You can get it on Aliexpress for $17.99 but think they are Lightmalls

This is a great light. Heatsinking is the best I have seen on any light, lots of thin fins for better surface area. The only thing they could have incorporated a longer reflector.

Why buy a $12 XML when you can get this light for $18

And why not, 26650 compatibility? That would be nice, but nowadays 18650 are very close to a 26650, but the fattys still have a lower voltage sag.

C8 size, I’m currently in love with my keygos m10, I’ve blow lamped it to get a great fade

Now, you may be wondering what’s the point? As I say in that post, the c8 took about 15 minutes from blow lamp on to reassembly, at just over mid setting. The m10 took over half an hour, with the blow lamp on full, and most of that was on the head. At this point, the body did not change colour at all, until a couple of minutes of flame had been applied.

What’s the point? Well, if you want a good heat sinked body, the m10 is a good starting point, its also 26650 size, uses a c8 reflector, gives a wonderful beam profile. I’m planning on an e1320 driver, hopefully with an extra 7135 and a u2 emitter. This could then really be the ultimate go to light.

I really like the look of the c12, don’t get me wrong, and as how2 measured it at 3a draw, I may have to get one, but I love my m10, and the blow lamping convinces me that its an awesome host in terms of heat management.

I have one of these lights on order from Lightmalls.
I will take photos and do a review once it arrives.
