Best U.S. based place to get Eneloops?

Where are the best U.S. deals for Eneloops? I have seen people mention Costco’s but have none in my area. I’ve been meaning to get some of these for over 2 years but keep procrastinating. I’m tired of pulling my digital camera out and being greeted by dead non-LSD NiMh’s. Thanks in advance for your input.

I heard of people saying SAMs or something is like $10 for 20?

Thats just a guess going from memory, I have no idea myself.

Amazon (at times) has 12, 24 or 36 for a good price, with free shipping. I just got some about a month ago. The prices fluctuate and I just watch for those low price and free ship times.

Costco or Dell, when Dell has a sale.

$19.70 for 8 1500: www.amazon.com/dp/B004UG41XW/
$10.69 for 4 1500: www.amazon.com/dp/B004UG41W8/

Alternately, if you want to play the Duraloop lottery (sometimes white-top eneloops, sometimes black-top rayovac lsd), here's the duracell version before the $1.50 coupon (click on the coupon link below the amazon price).  And if "subscribe and save"  is avalable (next to the Add-to-cart button) save another 5-15%, free shipping, can cancel anytime.  comes out to around $7-7.50 for 4:  www.amazon.com/dp/B000XSG300/

As always, amazon prices fluctuate with stock, this is as good as it gets.

If you can't do Costco or Sam's, stick to Amazon or Thomas. Might cost a little more than fleabay, but more likely to get the real thing.

I’ve always had good luck with Batteryjunction.com. They’ve got 4 packs for $10.95 and 8 packs for $20.75 right now. They also have Tenergy brand Centura LSD batteries, which I’ve not had a chance to fiddle around with.

I’ve had good luck at Walmart finding white top Duraloops…most I’ve found are black top, but there have always been some white tops available. Nice to have that option if you don’t want to wait for shipping.

Thanks for all the input. I am going to investigate the Duraloop situation locally and see what I find and go from there.

What generation are Thomas Dist. selling? It says newest or new version, but then when you go look it seems like 2nd gen.

Once in a while one of our hardware stores will have $5 off anything coupons in our mail and that’s when I get 1/2 off white top Duraloops. Better than Costco pricing (and we don’t have one anyway).

I’ve actually found white top Duraloops at Farm & Fleet and Tractor Supply. The nearby Gamestop sometimes has actual Eneloops for controllers, but that’s a hit or miss thing.

Duraloops .. flea markets  i've bought them for less than  5$ a pack .

ebay has duraloops too  and lots of sellers will tell you if they are white top

if you need an extra charger there are sometimes good duraloop and charger deals I've bought cef23au chargers with 4 duraloops for 12$ before ..(run adapter or power from the side )

Ebay can be good if you're patient and know what you're looking for

When looking for Duracells, make sure you aren’t getting the regular NiMH batteries. Get the precharged, white top. I wouldn’t try to get white tops online because you’d probably have a hard time convincing PayPal that your dispute is valid if you got black tops.

I’ve always gotten Eneloops from Amazon or Thomas. Duracells always locally so I can make sure I know what I’m getting.

Just got back from costco and the 10 packs of eneloops were marked down to 15 dollars. Big Smile I got the last 2 packs. Sadly, I think it was only that store as online they are still full price.

Cool…I know amazon has them for the same price as B&H, and I’ve never had issues w/ B&H before. However, B&H wants to charge shipping…

I’m not sure what your looking at but when I view B&H’s page it says “‘Free shipping-USA”.

Thanks!  I've used B&H before and recommend them.  The 4AAA pack charges shipping, but if you add it to the 4AA there is no shipping.  I'm thinking of getting some AAA NiMh's soon.

Aaa! I may have been looking at the AAAs. Thanks. Yea my shutterbug friends love B&H and they’re actually pretty good for some non-camera stuff that I’ve bought there as well. Good catch Garry.

Oh…I forgot to mention they do sell flashlights. They stock Fenix, and at times have good prices on them.

So I was at Costco last night and got the 10 eneloops for $20 deal, which is the best I’ve seen anywhere. I did notice something interesting, they just say “min 1900mah”. I thought they were 2000 mah?

They’re 2000mAh nominal, and 1900mAh minimal. Some manufacturers don’t specify min. ratings, only nominal ones.
