Thinking about using my power screwdriver charger to charge up some 18650 batteries. The unit uses a single 18650 for power. I will open it up tomorrow and learn more about it. Just wondering if anyone has done this already. Long time reader 1st time poster. Got a hugsby p31 and an ultrafire 2100 on its way 3 mode thats gonna be a 5 mode. Will feed it on samsung cells from a laptop battery. Oh the light was 11.99 onsale at DD

Welcome to BLF! I haven't done it before but it should be fairly simple. Just find the positive and negative ends and then wire it up. Good Luck!

Those power tools usually use high-drain cells and therefore charge with a lot more current than some 18650 recommend..
So i took the battery pack apart it is a pinkish Sanyo UR18650 with 1600mah. I think this is an IMR ? I need to do more reading. It also has a sensor reading the battery temp it looks like, maybe for the charger to shutdown in case of the battery getting too hot.
Being a high-drain cell is this charger in- compatable with the samsungs I have ?
Yes, but the charge current is likely to be very high.
