Just noticed that on ebay someone else is selling a sst-90 c8. Tempted to get it but for 80 dollars kinda risky.
But they’re expensive, and I’m pretty sure that unless they are driven really hard they won’t be brighter than an xm-l. I haven’t seen anything in a single battery application that would outperform an xm-l.
And, with that small a body, wouldn’t heat be a huge issue with 2200 lumens? Being that lumens per watt is only 100, versus 160-170ish on a xml.
ElectroLumens Sst90 BigBruiser is a direct drive beast on a 26650. Probably only 20 min of runtime but if I was going to get an sst90 light, that’d be what I would get
I considered that light but if you're getting a sst-90 why not get one with a big reflector so it throws well.
