Need some advice

Ok new to this and find it very interesting.

Had a few questions.

Let me start with usage. most of my batteries wind up in kids toys, remotes, keyboard and mice, home alarm sensors. I use pretty much either AA or D cells and on rare occasion C’s

Kids toys are for example: Nerf guns (D cells) Creepy crawlers bug maker (D cells) Hot wheels race tracks (D cells) Light sabers ( AA Cells) walkie talkies (AA cells) and similar items.

anyway questions.

1. thinking of getting Hobby king charger. how do I, and can I, charge multiple ni-mh at one time with this unit?

2. what kind of wiring do i need to charge mutiple ni-mh batteries if i can?

3. Thinking of getting D Cell adaptors and running eneloop 1500 (2000mh) with them. is this a good idea and how much run time can I expect as opposed to the durcell D’s i buy now?

4. is trying to recharge Alkaline batteries advisable? there are some chargers i see that are claiming they can do such. curious. link to one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA07N05Z7273

Thanks and i appreciate

1&2 Just make sure they are fully discharged and then wire them in series. You then set the charger to charge them with the correct voltage.

3. For the most part you will get less run time using eneloops. If you use these you will get equal or longer run time.

4. Do not try to recharge alkalines. If you are lucky they will hold maybe 1/4 of their capacity. Most of the time they just leak if you try to charge them.

Welcome to the forum Ray. Here is another option. Though I suspect soon others will chime in with better choices. Good luck, my nephew is using our old Hotwheels powerhouse.

Have a nice time here, raydaddy!
