A long overdue hello to everyone.

Hi everybody.

I recently read on some thread that blf has only been up for two and a half years and that made me feel kind of guilty for being a lurker for almost that long.

Let me say at this point i find BLF is the friendliest place around

and a big thank you to all you guys for all the information and entertainment.

I’ve been into flashlights for 3-4 years.

My first contact was through DX, i got 2 xr-e 16340 lights and a 18650 P7.

I wasn’t very impressed with the beam profile and light increase of the quad emitter so i stuck with small lights.

I soon became addicted to DX’s flashlight porn and found myself spending more and more time viewing flashlights and specs.

At this time $50-$60 flashlights seemed unreasonably expensive and not an option to buy but soon my curiosity/addiction overcame that decision and i got a quark 123 tactical neutral white XP-E 5A.

I was mesmerized by the clean beautiful beam profile, soft neutral color and the playful quality of the forward clicky.

Very quickly my addiction became almost an obsession reading about flashlights for hours every day.

I now have about 30 lights and more than half are budget lights.

I haven’t bought a lot of lights the past couple of years, instead i moded some of my lights with neutral / hi-cri emitters and nanj drivers.

Well recently i felt some sort of flashlight shortage, (i’m sure you guys know what i’m talking about) and pulled the trigger on a few.

My latest arrival has been the” Small Sun ZY-T13 from manafont”:http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/small-sun-zyt13-t6-5mode-1200lu...

and i love this light (even though driven at only 1.8 A) i find it very good value for only $24.24

although i have nothing to compare it to, this is my first big head 2×18650 light.

I am also waiting to receive (hopefully any day now) a:

Jacob A60

UniqueFire UF-2220

(and 9 sipiks but those are for gifts)

and Small Sun ZY-T13 in a couple of weeks

also a few 2400 and 3000 trustfire flames from MF.

Welcome to the forum Johm. I think I’m addicted to squinting as I like modding lights.

Three Tanna leaves to give him life, nine to give him movement. But what if he eats the whole bag?

Thank you guys for the welcome, it feels good to finaly be ‘one of us’.

The postman must be on a slow recovery from his holidays, I was really expecting (hoping) to receive something today but no.

I did an image search myself prior to registering but found nothing this interesting…
Well done.
