Wanting to buy some single-aaa form factor lights, $13-20, reasonably bright, i.e. close to 2AA Maglite LED (not pro), keychain-attachable with a metal loop.
I’d like to load the lights with a battery that yields both high lumens and has a long shelf-life; runtime isn’t important. I don’t mind paying for “disposable” lithium cells if that means they’ll last for 2+ years (reasonable time for the light to be lost/stolen/disappeared).
Would someone school me on which battery technology I’m wanting, or if I need to compromise one factor or another, and recommend any favorites?
I have used lithium primaries in almost all of my single AAA lights because of long shelf life, reasonably good runtime, and the fact that they won't leak like alkalines.

Like the said, Tank007 E09 is very nice, solid and cheap keychain light. You might also think to buy some 10440 batteries to use that light. Tank007 E09 is brighter with these batteries and you can re-charge them. Here are batteries and charger
As for the batteries, however, I’m looking for shelf life. These are gifts for my friend and her colleagues, who work in a government facility that is “supposed to” have emergency lighting, backup generators, and all sorts of disaster-preparedness plans.
I’m intending that they’ll actually wear these on their keychain; they need to work only when the lights go out. I won’t be able to nag them or maintenance the batteries. So I’d like them to last at least two years with “no use”, thus lithium.
That brings up a followup question.
Is there such a thing as a 3.6Volt AAA lithium primary/disposable battery?
