Battery Question

I am using good Panasonic batteries & am charging them with the WF-139. It appears this charger does not use cc/cv charging method (or does it?). Will this charger harm my good Panasonic batteries? Shorten their life? Not fully charge them? Any caveats with using this charger? I looked around & didn’t find pertinent info. Thanks much for any enlightenment on this matter as I do not wish to harm my good batts. Plus, if this charger is not good, it will give me a good excuse for buying a new charger lol.

I don’t have one, so can’t speak directly to it’s quality, but most reports about the WF-139 are fairly positive. For an inexpensive charger, I would say it’s an ok one. As long as your batteries come off the charger at 4.2 or fewer volts, then it’s not harming your cells at all.

From what I read about this UltraFire WF-139, if not mistaken, just need to monitor while its charging, once green lit, take out the cells

Due to the termination current is high (which may harm cells) don’t leave battery in it overnight.

I use charger from Xtar, WP6II & SP2 with good results.

Thanks pilotPTK/iron tater LOL. Now I don’t have a excuse for buying another charger (drats). Hey, now I can buy another light HeHe. Yes, it always comes off at 4.2. I forgot & left it charge all night (in a metal box) & next morn it was 4.2. This charger never heats up & seems to do a good job. I think I will get the Xtar but now I can put if off till later since I now feel confident I am not damaging (didn’t think it was) my batts. Thanks again.

The WF-139 is not exactly a good charger, because it always forces the batteries to 4.2 volt.
