Hey guys,

Just looking for a little reference. I know many of you here are familiar with the 5 x Cree dropin modules for the WF-500 that can be made to fit Mags. Anyway, I have a mag 3d modded with on of the q5 dropins and is my favorite light so far but I have 3 other mags waiting to be modded including 2 older brand new 3d’s and a new 2d.
I bought the q5 on sale and love it but see the r2 as a better bet. Which would you prefer?

Any difference in throw between r2 and q5 emitters? I believe r2 is more efficient and more throwy but again, I am not SURE.

Help me out!

ps. since 3 are needed, dx offers price breaks after 3 so I get ~2$ off each……Not the determining factor of course but doesnt hurt :wink:

R2 is a higher bin, this means it will generate more light that the Q5, however it really doesn't matter and the difference will be negligible.

Well the r2 is about 3 dollars cheaper than the q5 counterpart?
