My names Matt - I’m from the land down under. I’ve been a lurker here for almost 2 years but got my kicks over on that other site (can we mention it by name?). I’m sure a few people may recognize my user name from there Hopefully someone can vouch for me 0:)
I decided to sign up mainly because I HAD to ask a member about a how-to they did (couldn’t work it out) but I figure I have plenty to contribute and seen as these forums are more aligned with the way I enjoy my lights it’d be worth sticking around! I’m a big time fan of DIY - I like to create my own goods instead of buying, which I guess is why the only store bought light I have is my little 4Sevens Qmini CR2 on my car keys. Everything is custom and nothing has the original emitter or driver in it >)
I have a few projects I’ve done that I’d love to share but I’m not sure if it’d be ideal rehashing what I’ve done elsewhere? I also occasionally make and sell some parts for the DIY crowd so maybe people would be interested in that as well?
Basically there are some ingenious ways to save money around here and I for one am all for it!.

There are quite a few DIYers here (myself soon to be one once my tools come in) so I’m sure you’ll fit right in. After all, everyone loves to look at projects.
HAHA, I get up ay 4 AM six days a week for work, so even without an alarm I still get up very early. Already had breakfast and gone for a walk. Until someone else gets up at my house, all I have are you guys for entertainment. I could always have another breakfast, I guess.
I had the same routine when I was at university. Those days are behind me now and I have the freedom of turning up to work whenever I like….so long as I meet my weekly hours of course! Damn ‘certified’ agreement.
Who said I got anything done? I’ve mastered the art of ‘being busy’…although I like to think it’s because I’m so good at my job I always finish work too quickly. I might be alone on that one.
Glad to have a fellow modder here. By all means post up what you've done. Don't worry about rehashing...besides, there's a good chance anything you've posted on CPF will be lost in their next server crash.
