AA’s in parallel, what the hell were they thinking. There’s a chance the driver is decent, but wouldn’t bet on it. I also wonder about parasitic draw on aa’s.

I have a feeling that they had Alkaline compatibility in mind when choosing the driver, since there’s no warnings, even on the Blackshadow site, against using them (I’m assuming that the FandyFire version is essentially the same). So I suspect it’s going to pull bugger all current in that voltage range, and therefore performance will be pitiful.

But I want to be wrong.

EDIT: Nevermind. I just found the thread in which you posted about it. Don’t know how I missed that discussion.

I wonder how much of a hassle it might be to make up some sort of series AA holder. Probably a big hassle given the shape of the internals of the Rook’s body, but maybe not impossible.

Yeah , 3 AA batteries will work it . You need to press on the button for about 2-3 seconds then it can light
