already. This buying every torch with an increased increment of 500 lumen improvement over the last one is driving me crazy.
I think I can settle for 80,000 lumens and call it a night for good. I can live with that number and feel pretty good about myself although there’s got to be a theoretical retina lumen limit our peepers can take I think. I don’t know what that is but I think we’re quickly approaching it. H)
Btw, I wonder what the absolute limit is gonna ultimately be with these things in the next 10 years before they become legally licensed flame throwers. I accidently flicked on the @%$*#! Skyray earlier this evening full blast in my face and I’m still seeing the Orion Constellation.
’cause this guy built a 20,000 lumen and he’s wearing welder goggles I think. So you’re telling us you’ve basically have 9 of those strapped together in a handheld? Or put a different way some of us can relate to, 70 Skyray Kings.
Are you in charge of running the main searchlight for the U.S.S Reagan by any chance?
Don’t we all… unfortunately it is under a non-disclosure agreement. Nothing special about the light itself, but the intended application is. Pictures might provide too many clues about that.
You can build your own, though. Take 3 dozen Bridgelux BXRA-C9000 arrays, drive them a 5A each. Enjoy…
