First please excuse my ignorance, I know absolutely nothing about hobby chargers. My son who lives in another state works with a man whose son was into RC cars. Seven month ago he lost his son in an auto accident and had given all his sons car stuff away. Last week he found a new, in the box Blitz XR6AC balance charger and offered it to my son. My son called and asked if I wanted it, if so he would get it for me. I know nothing about hobby chargers, I have a DMM and 4 chargers that I use to maintain about 35 Li-ion and Ni-MH cells and I didn't know if I could use it or not. I don't want to accept it if I can't use it, when it comes to electronic stuff I'm a slow learner (I'm 69). So my questions are, is this charger any good for flashlight batteries, can I use this charger with protected cells, are hobby chargers hard to learn to use and finally you think I should accept it?
A hobby charger is very useful for LiIon batteries.
