2 battery light what cells ?

Battery question.

I have my first 2 cell light coming its a Ultrafire WF-3T6 and wondering what batteries to run.

I don not have protected cells as of yet but I do have some LiMn Konion/Sony pulls from a Makita battery pack. Having both of these cells equally charged would it be okay to run them in series ? I also have some other cells that are pulls from laptops, these are Samsung’s, and Sanyo’s but i think these are not okay ?

The sony cells are from what I have read about them “safe chemistry ” hybrid cells capable of 10amps.

any info would be very helpful.

It really depends. If they were in the same pack and have had the same use it should be kinda safe. I have a total of 6 non-salvaged cells so I always use salvaged ones in my multicell lights. Of course there is an increased chance of reverse charging as my DRY using cells that tested within 20 mah of each other I did end up with a 0 volt and 2 3.6 volt cells.

So to summarize, safe with repeated DMM use.
