I have been running my Trustfire Mini 01 on lo for 7 1/2 hours. It still puts out a good light equal to the med mode on my Fenix LD01. I am impressed with the small size and long run time.
I am wondering which battery will give the longest run time; CR 123 or 16340.
EDIT I am using CR 123 since I have no 16340s.
Also how about run times compared with an Eneloop AA?
Many thanks for the help.
My light is the Trustfire Mini, and the battery is Trustfire.
I turned it off when I went to bed last night after 9 1/2 hours on lo. It still had plenty of light, and not in a moon mode. I will continue it today and see how long it lasts. The hi mode is still very bright, and I am favorably impressed.
There are several budget lights that seem comparable, but I am not sure about them. The Small Sun looks very similar.
So far my mini has run on lo 16 hrs and still has a very good light. The battery is down to 2.5 V. I am not sure how low the voltage will go until the light goes to a moon mode level.

Hi Jerry
The Small Sun ZY-C1 is a bit larger than the mini-01.
I leave a mini-01 on my keychain, the ZY-C1 is too big for that, but it’s a good light.
Heres a picture with the DQG AAA
Thanks for the photo. I thought I might be interested in the Small Sun ZY-C1. However, I prefer small lights so I bought another mini 01. I am not sure I see much use for li-ons. I have the impression that the run time of 16340 is less than the CR 123. Of course if you need, or want a WOW the 16340 would be the way to go.
The mini ran in lo mode for 18.5 hours before it became a “moon mode” level. To compare with the Quark Mini AA, that light ran for 6 hours on med using an eneloop. Not bad, but not comparable with the mini 01 with the CR 123. I realize this is not necessarily a fair comparison, but was wondering how each would in an outdoor situation where you might need long run times at a reasonable light level.
