It all started when I found flashlights on DX a few months ago. When I got my wf-502b MC-E, I was pleasantly surprised with the output, and began looking for other lights. Soon enough I was reading forums for hours, and eventually found BLF.
I've been reading some of your mods and reviews and not only am I impressed with the depth of knowledge, but also with the warmth and courteousness of the members. Your flashaholism is wearing off on me, but hopefully your know-how will as well. Thanks.
Welcome Kragmutt! I started the same way you did, just a few simple torch purchaces from DX a little while ago. Now, I have to read every post here while drinking my morning coffee. Also like you said, it's a good group of folks here....and that makes all the difference.
I think most of us started with something or other from DX, though I can remember when there was no DX. It isn't that old, just enormous.
Last time I was in the parcel office at the PO to pick up the stuff they couldn't deliver, about half the folks came out with Amazon parcels and a surprising number with DX parcels though I've not seen anyone from around me here, or in any of the other places talking about lights.
Do feel free to jump in, we all have stuff to learn. I'm in awe of some of Match's creations but don't have the skills (or equipment) to do what he does. Doesn't stop me doing the duct tape and popsicle stick mods though.
i arrived at blf few days ago and make your same way to arrive here. I totally agree with you when you say that here there's a lot o people really expert on flashlight but they are also kind and really patient (that's the real difference with other site and forum), also with someone like me that make a lot of question .
