I have to wash the dishes before the wife gets home!

Anyone else have a phobia of washing the dishes ?

Cutlery is the worst, oh and awkward plastic containers

Dishwashing machines are great a that!

Oh yeah? Ironing’s the worst ! Maybe that’s why I haven’t done it in years

Awkward plastic containers ?
I wash one of these every night:

Love the juice though.

Rather you than me haha.

My sentiments exactly…

The benefit of being single I suppose... I don't wash the dishes until the sink is at least 3/4 full :p

Unless you don’t trust it. I think mine is plotting with my oven…

Or to get things clean. Whichever

+1! Got the same machine and loving it.

I hate it beyond words.

We have been without a dishwasher for a month, and the new one is going in as I type. Lowe's jerked me around with 3 missed delivery dates, until I demanded a refund and purchased it from another retailer - with a 3-day turnaround.

A phobia? Well, I may have a bunch of them, but not about dishes, at least not about dishes in my own home. When it comes to eating out, there's a bunch of phobias surrounding that and the grocery store and work, LOL. Since I take care of my wife, I have no phobias about cooking, cleaning, laundry and all that stuff. I may not like it, but it's what it is. The only real phobia I can think of is the fear of rattlesnakes, cottonmouths and copperheads, is that a phobia? Well, it is East Texas, so it's more like a real fear.Surprised

Thanks for the laughs guys. Kreisler the note on the fridge is awesome.

Chicago X, I’m glad you don’t have to suffer the pain anymore

OL, you sound like my wife “it is what it is” lol

I take it your not married, otherwise you’d already be strangled to death

Not so much a phobia of dishwashing as a strong hatred, there are only a few things i despise more, but at least i currently have a dishwasher so all that needs washing is pots and pans, so its much more manageable.

Not sure what you guys or your wives cooked to make dishes so bad, but I do my family's dishes every night, by hand.

For a household of seven, dishes takes all of...ten minutes?

Don't you need to rinse dishes first, anyway?

i can not for the life of me get my fiance to rinse her dishes when she is done with them…

Unless it’s something very stick like a half inch of peanut butter you shouldn’t need to prerinse dishes. Energy star rated dishwashers(which pretty much every one from the past couple years is) only use 5.8 gallons of water or less per load (http://energystar.supportportal.com/link/portal/23002/23018/Article/17719/How-much-water-do-ENERGY-STAR-dishwashers-use-Is-there-a-water-efficiency-metric-water-factor-for-ENERGY-STAR-dishwashers-like-there-is-for-ENERGY-STAR-qualified-clothes-washers) and for people who don’t have alot of counterspace dishwashers work well.
