16-Mar-2010 Editor Change and Minor Upgrades

Hi everyone,

I just changed the editor window that we use to type our posts. Could you all please test it out for me and let me know if you like it? Thanks! I also did a number of small routine upgrades.

I like it........

Good, thanks for the feedback! Any bugs with the different browsers we all use here?

Seems to work well on my end....still cant delete my own posts but thats okay.

Just testing. Let's see if it'll paste stuff on a WebKit browser. Let's see if it'll paste stuff on a WebKit browser.

Good, the paste bug appears to be gone.

Thanks for all the work.

Just noticed. This editor is infinitely better than the previous versions - it lets me us standard MacOS X spell checking etc. which previous versions most certainly did not. An enormous improvement. Took a while to get used to the differences and to find the edit source button - but having found it, this editor is a gigantic improvement on what went before.

Where is the source button.....i was trying to post up my youtube vid but could not find the source code tab.

Please tell me, tell me.Cool

There is a little button that says HTML on it near the quotation mark.

thanks........

Tried it still didnt work......

It brings the text up in a pop-up window, so you might have to enable pop-ups or something.

All that comes up is an empty box......

Hey there Al, sorry about that, I forgot to enable that button. There should be a "Insert / Edit Embedded Media" button, second row, second from the right.

Cool! Thanks for the video with a promo for BLF. Nice!

By the way, I just did a routine upgrade to the editor component, in other words the thing that we all love and hate into which we type our posts. Please let me know if you have any successes or problems with it. Thanks a lot!

Seems to be working just fine for me.

Seems to be working just fine for me. Copy paste working like it ought to.

Doesn't seem to want to let me post pics. Another try. But the pic appeared without my trying again. Took quite a while (seconds rather than minutes).

Then, when I hit save the second pic appeared. Not sure what's going on there. Time to kill the browser and relaunch it - these oddities may have something to do with it having been running for more than two weeks.

Some pic:

Hmmm, pictures appear to be working well. Any luck yet?

Must have been the browser. Note to self: Kill off the browser occasionally. It doesn't seem to eat memory the way Firefox does so I've not bothered in the past.
