Does anyone know how much the retail price will be on this yet?
My guess is solarforce sales will be the first to have them.Cool idea to re-purpose the old masterpiece pro head,but a think a total revamp would have been better.

It’s got an OP reflector?
Solarforce says 2 or 3 18650’s, but the photo displays it attached to a L2T—which is just (1)18650. Maybe it could run on (2)18350 IMR’s…for about 10 minutes. That would make it one of the smallest, brightest production throwers with near-perfect tint. Plus, it would cost less than some dropins alone. Time will tell, I’ve had my hopes up before with Solarforce, only to be let down.
Still, I’ll keep my fingers crossed and wait patiently for reviews.
I can guarantee you it won’t have a lot of throw.

Funny that they sell it w the single cell body since Solar Force Sales description is x 2 or x 3 18650 cells. Sounds like it has a AR lense too.
Is it the Pro 1 or the 2 head?

I think you could possibly use CR123A or 16340`s to get the right voltage..
Not that I would suggest you using these cells, but that should be enough V to get it working.
I’ve ordered one to replace the MPP1 on my Gladiator, I intend to use one of the dummy cells and run it on 3x18650, a shame it won’t take 4x like the MPP1 tho.
I also plan on getting this one soon……have to calm down a bit because 8 lights in one month is just too much lol.
I ordered one yesterday - typical delivery time to Australia is about ten days from solarforce-flashlightsales. I will keep you posted.

I had a lovely package waiting for me last night when I got back from a few days out…. ordered on 7/16 - arrived 7/22!!! Outstanding!
Nice light, I can say. Good output, nice flood, decent throw, awesome tint! Mine is now mounted on the 2 cell 18650 from my Masterpiece Pro-2 which was the MC-E emitter.
I checked it out against the SF M8 that I have, Crelant 7G thrower, BS Terminator, another SF K3 head upgrade and a couple of C8 and P60s that I am travelling wtih. Its quite a different look w that tint and seems to be equally a thrower/flood combination. I did some bounce shots in my hotel room too against all these other lights and its brighter than any except for the BS on high (as it should be).
The head is just that little bit smaller in diameter than the Pro-2 or the M8 and bigger than the K-3 U3 upgrade head. I ran it for 15 on high, it gets pretty warm. On the low setting, it lit up a screen porch for 30 minutes w no heat at all. At $57 for just the head, its not cheap, but I am very happy to have made the purchase, thrilled that it arrived so soon and can’t wait to get back to my normal ‘lighting hunting grounds’ to see how it looks against all the objects that I am used to seeing at night.
Don’t think anyone is going to be really disappointed w this upgrade (I was hoping it would be the same size diameter as the Pro-2 for looks and utility), unless they have a MT-G2 already or + $100 BTU, TN31, similar or modded lights - I think it hits a real sweet spot in my collection. If I had had to pay for the extra battery tube & tail cap, I would be just a little bit disappointed at the price.
And if I had known the mailing service was so quick, I would have bought that second one, my brother-in-law that we are visiting w is totally enraptured w this little light - but he is not getting it, something I can’t always say w new and anticipated purchases!
Cool glad you got it so quick…would love to see a beamshot if you can.

…well, i just got here, out of state, working, for two weeks, no camera and no idea how to use my old flip phone camera to send/post beam shots. (I can try & send you PM w beam shots uploaded from my laptop if you would like, I can try tonight)
I can reiterate that I used the light again last night, heavily and I remain ’enchanted’. . I now have a serious jones for the SF 2200 series light w the large mellow emitter…now wondering how much more wonderful it is than this one… all of a sudden my to buy list has a dramatic reshuffling.
BTU Shocker w L2 and TN31 w L2, etc, move aside and down the list, SF 2200 moves to the top. $150 hmn… please advise.
