Well Target is now carring high powered LED lights

I forgot to take a picture with my phone when I was there, but Target is now carrying 2 300+ lm lights.

I will say they are spendy and include 2 CR123 batteries as well. I believe they were around 68.99 each… So who is going to go buy one?

:face_with_monocle:

Lowes has a 500 lumen 2 x CR123 light, its 49.99 last i remember

I like the energizer fusion lantern and a flashlight combo with ramping. Some of the best things I've seen at big box stores lately ..22 ~30$ ..4 and 8 AA pretty cool stuff ..I was seriously tempted

Walmart carries a 500lm 8 AA light with an xml for $50.

I don’t have a use for it, but I did grab a couple of the 3D led lights.

I've seen a couple at Tractor Supply too, with li-ion battery and charger. Good to see something, but unfortunately, not very budget yet. I hope they move into the present day soon, but retail is always expensive.

Good

bad

I have seen a li-ion light with battery at Tractor Supply too. I always figured the insurance liability would be a issue with selling loose li-ions in a big box store. But apparently TS either doesn’t know the liability or doesn’t care.

.
Better pic of the li-ion cell and check out where its made. :open_mouth:
.

With all the people mangled in tractor related accidents, they're not afraid of a few batteries.

Look at the mAh rating on that cell. I’mma guess it’s a LiFePO4, which are from what I understand, indestructible. If there’s going to be a cell sold in a retail outlet it would be that.

It says “3.7V”. Isn’t LiFePO4 lower voltage?

yes, 3.2v.

maplin over here is selling a lithium torch.

xre q5 zoomy, Chinese 2000mah 18650, crap wall wart charger, they want 50 quid for it…

the sales staff were completely unaware of any issues with lithium cells but wondered if I wanted to buy one……my 18650 edc with xm-l 4c at 2.6a completely blew it away suprisingly, had a 3400mah keeppower cell and was at least half the size, plus the beam wasn’t purple, I declined but said if they ever need some advice……
