Does this really match the Equivalent of that ?. LED / Halogen Help.

hello there,

I have this 20w LED floodlight and it states it matches a 250w Halogen, now is that correct?, as I also see a 10w on their site which tells that it matches a 100w halogen. ???.

the thing is, this will be for a small front garden, and I am always advised I should get an LED light no more than a 150w Halogen equivalent as it will be too bright, not good for eyes, all that.

the light seems warm and not that bright really, so does this 1800lm really match a 250w halogen, and can these spec figures really be relied on?.
shall I put the light up still, or leave it?.

thank you everyone………………………. happy holidays……

LED colour: Warm White (3000k) - Cool White (6000k)

Working voltage: AC85-265V

LED luminous Flux: 1800 lm (ideal for matching a 250W Halogen bulb)

Color temperature: 3000~3500K

Hardly, check this table: http://www.rapidtables.com/calc/light/how-watt-to-lumen.htm

A 250W halogen will be between 4000 and 6000 lumen, probably in the high end.

According to this paper a 150w Halogen puts out 2250~2400 lm giving 15.33 lm per watt.
A 500w Halogen puts out 9900lm giving 19.8 lm per watt
What a 250w puts out is beyond me at the moment, however it is immaterial as a 150w Helogen easily beats the 1800lm of the 20w led.

Cheers David, who needs to type faster

hey thanks, so how much is it really putting out this 20w ? lol.
any guess being 1800L ? again, if it really is.

120w eqiv?

thanks.

after compared real world outputs by eye, 50W LED lamp need to replace 250W good halogen lamp. I mean 50W china cob LED. neutral white
LED vs Halogen : A CRI also make noticeable difference. specially very low CRI china COB LEDs.
