OK, I have one of these from DX in 07 when I actually used to receive stuff from there!
So it's been sittin' around and I got a brainstorm. Idle mind, the devil's workshop, all that jit... Anyway, I tore it down and made an XML Linger Special out of it. Pics another day, my meds are workin.' With careful reflowing, I got two XML's on one star side by side. I used an upgraded Shiningbeam driver with four 7135's added to get 4.2A out of it with an IMR. I sprayed dull coating on the reflector to make it an all-flood light, no hotspot. This thing is insane on an IMR-the back yard really did turn into daylight!
My question: The C2 host is bland and I'd like to change it but still use the reflector and pill. Does anyone know of other, nicer, Ultrafire C2 type lights that my pill will screw into, no hassle? This light needs a quality suit!
If someone here can start a list I'd love y'all forever!
