Just purchased a Blackshadow Terminator CLONE with Handle + 4x18650 Batteries + Charger -- $37.99 -- Good Deal?

Hey guys, I already own a Nitecore TM26 XM-L2, and a Skyray King 4x XM-L2, but was browsing the bay when I stumbled on this and purchased on pure instinct. It comes with 4x 18650 batteries and a charger as well. Lord knows my fiancee finds out about this, but I’m sure she will…eventually. I did not mean to buy it, but not sure what happened, next thing I know I had already purchased it.

Anyways, what do you guys think of it for $37.99 and free shipping? I plan on using it for jogging with our baby stroller mainly, for good visibility! Thinking of purchasing one more, since there are only 7 left at this price, and it seems amazing with batteries and charger. So tempting. I also posted this in the deals forum to let you guys know as well.

7000 Lumens LED Waterproof Flashlight Army Black FREE 4 x 18650 BATTERIES & SHIP

Using this for jogging seems more than overkill bordering on obnoxiousness especially in terms of blinding anyone oncoming toward you. This light would put out more than a car’s headlights in output. Most people find even bicycling a single XM-L floody flashlight would be more than enough.

When the batteries arrive if they have ultra or fire or both on the label please discard them. I personally wouldn’t trust the charger either.

The light should be decent for the price.

Well, I plan on buying or making a mount and using this beast on medium (only 2x LED’s lit). I already use a single XML work headlight when jogging and it lasts about 1.5-2 hours on 2x18650 cheapo batteries and thats on high, but I usually angle it downwards slightly as to not blind oncoming traffic.

I figure for $38 you really cant beat this price. Now only if somebody could suggest a mount for this thing. I haven’t really seen anything that can mount a monster like this on a stroller or bike.

Anyways you forgot to mention is it was a good deal or not, lol?

I will probably keep them and gauge how much life I can get from them on medium and high settings. Hopefully it can give me 2-3 hours on medium and 1-1.5 hours on high. If it does, then as much as I hate to say it, I will probably keep using them. Anything less, and I will use them as backups.

I recently bought one of those cheap XML headlights with 2x 18650’s Ultrafire’s off ebay for $10 and was about to throw away the batteries I got with it, but used them once and got almost 2 hours off of them. Needless to say, I kept them and use them in that headlight still, and they work amazing!

Now, of course, in my Holy Grail Nitecore TM26, I use only the best panasonic 3400’s! And in my Skyray King I use Trustfire Flames 3000, of course there more like 2400mah but its all good!

Oh, and I wouldn’t trust that charger either, lol. I use my trusty Nitecore IntelliCharger i4.

Just because they copied the looks of the BlackShadow doesn't mean it's going to work the same way. It doesn't say anywhere in the ebay page L-M-H is 1-2-4 LED's lit, it may use a typical PMW dimming circuit. Hard to say whether it's a good deal until someone has one in hand. If it works well, it's a good deal.

Last pic on the listing shows its “modles” :stuck_out_tongue:

As to whether or not that’s the actual case… like you said, need one in hand.

Just looks like 4 lights are all strapped together!

Price got bumped to $75

Ya, the sellers 50% off sale just ended for this item. Anyways, hopefully it works as expected, and if it doesn’t… even better, gives me an excuse to gut her open and beef it up. Congrats to the other 2 people who bought the light at the $37.99 deal! $75 is way to much for this knock-off!

Looks good. I sure as hell hope you don’t have to cycle through all modes to turn it off and/or have unbearable PWM on the lower levels. I bet on high it will throw around 40 kcd. Let us know when you get it.

5 available / 6 sold

Ruh roh!

Let’s hope it’s the real deal

Seems to be at 49.99 now

I told them to forget the Batteries and Charger, and just sell the Flashlight for the Original 37.99

Ya I see the seller changed it to $49.99. I wrote the seller an email to see if he would change it to $39.99 and told him he would sell out if he did, as I plan to purchase one more if he does, seems like a really good deal, and I was comparing it to a Blackshadow Terminator and it looks IDENTICAL down to the last screw and the X on the side.

On a side note, the seller already shipped my item and got a china post tracking number. Very fast I must say. Lets hope it gets to me in a few weeks, like the last few items I have purchased from china.

I missed the modles. Doesn't the Terminator have a lighted switch?

Yes, your right. Seems this CLONE missed that little detail. I’m guessing it can’t be that hard to add an illuminated power clicky could it? Either way, I plan on adding a cheap voltmeter like the one below into the handle or below the handle, then epoxying that sucker in there. Thus it will be the Terminator Clone 2.0 all for under $40!

You got a great price, along with FALSE advertising,7000 lumens!!! Right

I have the Real one and it around 3300 lumens advertized at 3500. Not too bad.

I got it for $100 from IS. I have so many great, powerful modded throwers that I rarely use this light anymore! It is a wall of light,I just prefer and am amazed at long distance throwers!

I got the TK61vn last night! It was tested at 622Kcd!!

Ya, I’m pretty sure that 7000 chinese lumens equals about 2000 ANSI lumens which is fine by me to be honest. Of course I plan on changing out the cheap thin wires they probably used in it, and get closer to about 3000+ lumens. Switched out the 28GA wires on my SRK 4x last night to 22GA and holy mother of lights, the SRK honestly now puts my TM26 to shame, like almost double the flood of my TM26, albeit half the throw. The SRK might be my new favorite light to be honest, even though I have had it for almost 6 months.

As you can guess, throwers aren’t really my thing, although I do like a balance of throw and flood, which is why I liked my TM26 so much. That was until I gave my SRK new life last night, and honestly, it truly lights up the night. Literally, now it turns night into day. It’s the most flood I have ever seen from a single light to date. There are very few things I need to see half a mile away in a tiny circle of light.

I’m thinking it might be time to get one of those 7x SRK on ebay now going for around $35, as the way I see it, flood is the new throw, lol!

I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen an accurate lumen advertisement on an ebay light. :stuck_out_tongue:
